I thought that the Dark Heart of Rome tour was really not bad at all for the cost. The tour begins at around 9:00 at night in front of a church, and from there you will be treated to the "Church of Death", a famed Roman executioner's house, tales of ghosts that people still allegedly see to this day, and of course we can't forget the people burned at the stake.

Our tour guide was very friendly and spoke perfect English. She was knowledgeable about the sites and made sure the entire group was comfortable with the pace of the tour. We even stopped off about halfway through to get something to drink.

I was in Rome by myself so it was a good opportunity to meet some other people and get out and see some of the sites at night. The tour lasted around an hour and a half I believe and it ends at Castel Sant' Angelo.
