We, my wife two daughters 22 & 18 and myself stopped at the Monte Carlo from the 2 to 6 January 2008. Gathered info via Travel Advisor and certainly made the right decision. Booked direct with hotel, arranged transfers from the airport. Staff were marvalous and could not do enough for us. Superior class rooms were spacious and included a shower with jaccussi and turkish bath, good heating system, fridge bar and yes SKY tv in English. Breakfast was a wonderful collection of different rolls, danish pastries etc plus serials, cheese etc. Late bar meant you could have a last relaxing drink after a hectic tour before bed. Lots of nearby restaurants and one gives 10% off the total cost of the meal. Hotel is close to all the tourist areas and the metro. We used the metro but found that for four a taxi was very good value eg 10 euro to the vatican. All in all a great holiday at a great hotel in a great city, cannot wait to return.

I stayed in Hotel Montecarlo with my wife from 15th to 17 Nov.2007.
Had booked a Limo thro Romeshuttle which dropped us at the gate
of another hotel and left.It was raining heavily and we were stranded there for more than an hour.I brought a taxi and we reached the Hotel.Front Staff was very helpful and hearing the problem we faced
upgraded our room,helped us in luggage shifting.Other front office staff was also very helpful and guided us nicely.Room was clean with simple decoration.Bathroom was clean with required toiletries.
Breakfast was OK for Vegetarians like us.I will recommend the Hotel to my friends and would love to stay here again.

This is a great propery, far enough away from the noise but close enough that you don't have to walk too far. This hotel is only a 10 - 15 minute walk away from the central station and while it can be a nightmere navigating the Rome traffic it is not that hard to get to. We arrived early at 11:30 and a room was ready for us (not sure this would have been the case during the summer). We were given room 104 on the first floor and like most rooms in Rome it was on the small side. Having said that we had enough room to relax after a day on our feet and to get ready for the evening (what more do you need). We opted for the Superior upgrade which included a Jacuzzi shower - this was great at the end of the day and worth the extra £10 a night. We also had a DVD player and 22 inch TV. The room including the bathroom was very clean and was equiped with toiletries, towels and a hair dryer, handy with a budget flight from the UK. The Staff were accommodating when ever we needed them for advice or extras such as pillows for the room. The breakfast was ok and we able to eat as much as we wanted. This is not a cooked breakfast so you may be disappointed if your expecting a full English but there again you are in Italy. I would recommend this hotel 100% and although only 3 star is excellent value for money and does everything to make you feel welcome.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and had a very pleasant stay. The staff were accommodating and friendly. The room was large enough, exceptionally clean and the bathroom very well appointed (extremely complex shower/jacuzzi setup - but fun trying to work it out).
The room had a great ceiling (you'll see if you go there) but it had a very small but elegant lift (but grateful for any lift after carting luggage around).
Breakfast was simple but enjoyable.
Location was convenient to the Termini (hint - catch the public buses - they are cheap and go everywhere).
