Recently spent two nights in Rome at this little hotel. It's on a fairly quiet street about 150 meters from the Spanish Steps. The staff was friendly. There was a small, so-so continental breakfast (e.g. cereal and milk and juice). My room was a "single" -- tiny by U.S. standards, but clean, comfortable , and fine for my purposes, considering I was there to see Rome, not relax in the hotel room. The bed was small, and the bathroom was smaller. (Large folks might have difficulty maneuvering in the bathroom. I would recommend a larger room with larger bathroom if that applies to you.) The windows appeared new, and were the type seen a lot in Europe that can either be opened completely or tilted open from the top. They did an excellent job of shutting out street noise at night. It's a 3 minute walk to the Spanish Steps. Maybe 10-15 minutes to the Trevi fountain. The Pantheon and the Piazza Navona are also within walking distance. I recommend jumping on the metro (subway) at the Spanish Steps to go to the Colosseum area. It's only 2 Euros round trip. And any of the sites are reachable via taxi (roughly 10 Euros to the Colosseum and 10-15 Euros to the Vatican), if you want to avoid the buses and the metro. There's a taxi stand at the base of the Spanish Steps. The cost was 125 Euros/night. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, although I would get a larger room if I planned to spend more time relaxing at the hotel.
