Hi,
Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Villa Glori Hotel for 3 nights for my 21st birthday. Having never been to a city before...not even london! i was a bit apprehensive, if not a little intimidated by the amount of street beggers, however i soon got used to this and managed to really enjoy my weekend break in rome! Around the hotel was really quiet and you really did get a sense of the 'real rome' by dining in resteraunts such as pizzeria vignola (very cheap too which is a plus compared to the expensive city centre prices!) and the others in close vicinity. We walked absolutely everywhere during our stay and even the 40min walk to the Vatican wasn't that much of a challenge even for un-fit me. We walked into the city centre in about 20mins... so there really is no need to get on those crowded trams when you stay at this hotel. All you need is a street map! rooms were fab as were the staff (very helpful!). Breakfast wasn't as bad as some people make out.... how can you go wrong with corn flakes n croissants??? Anyway i'd recommend to everyone! (unless you hate/can't walk!) xox

This hotel is highly recommended. I stayed with a friend for three nights. The hotel was very clean and very stylish. The pictures shown at [----] are outdated, so it was a great surprise to see the actual hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the shower room is superb!!. The tram 2 pass by very often so it is very convenient to get to the town centre!

My only complains are probably the breakfast, in line with Italian standards (the worst the orange juice!) but they made proper coffee for us on request and that we couldn't find an internet point in reception. I will definitely stay here on my next visit to Rome. Susana (Amsterdam)

“Didn't Get to Stay”

Villa Glori Hotel

We booked our stay here months in advance only to find that when we arrived we were met at reception by a man who told us "we have big problem" and we were escorted outside to a taxi which he paid for and told us we were going to their sister Hotel Fleming which was 4* and 5 mins away. Both of which were lies.

The Hotel Fleming is 30 mins bus ride away from the centre of Rome and definately not 4*

I have just read comments from another person saying th same thing happened to them and they were transferred away too so I definately recommend that you do not book either of these hotels.

On arrival at this hotel we were told the toilet in our room was broken and we had to move to there sister hotel hotel Fleming which was awful, however when we were moved back the next day Villa Glori really made up for it , hotel was pristine and decorated really nice the bedroom was spacious, bathroom was great and we could turn heating on and off as we wished.
When we booked we thought it was abit far out but this was not the case we used the tram to take us to Piazza del Poppolo and then walked everywhere from there it was so easy finding our way around and the tram only took about 7mins and it ran up till 12 at night. The few restaurants near the hotel were good also. We ate out near Piazza Navona most nights. I would definitely book the hotel again its in expensive and of a high quality with excellent staff.
