Less than a 5 minute walk from the train station, so it is very convenient, and not too far from some of the wonderful sites in Rome.
Hotel Morgana is ludicrously expensive for drinks, so avoid and go to the nearest bar.
Their tours are expensive and a hassle to book as a coach takes you to the tour office for payment, and then you wait on further coaches to take you on your way. In our case, there was a big mix up with people aborting and running for coaches and we started our tour more than half an hour late.
Breakfast is ok: small selection of breads, cereals, some ham, cheese, jam. Quite small selection, too bad if you're gluten intolerant, or trying to avoid white flour. Long queues to breakfast if you time it wrong as there are only a limited number of tables.
Bathroom in our room was ridiculously tiny, and if you're sharing with friends and having to change and get ready in there: get ready to get hot, uncomfortable and frustrated. No knee room to get into clothes at all!
Supposedly fully airconditioned. Well, we had a portable unit in our room that pumped out cool air for about 8 inches and then dissipated in the heat. Big, big disappointment. Very hot and uncomfortable when we were there, and aircon unit did nothing to alleviate it.
I booked through Thomas Cook, where it's a 3 * 'Signature favourite' - shocking really, because it's closer to 2* and nothing about it except its promixity to the train station is good or special. The elevators are the tiniest I've ever seen, with only room for a tight three! Most inconvenient if a group of you wish to use it.
Avoid the pavement restaurants on the street up from the hotel, not particularly good food.
Pick somewhere else.
