Location: This is nowhere near the city centre as we would know it, a good 10 - 15 minute bus or taxi journey, walking it would be beyond anyone unless they were very fit, knew the routes and didnt mind dodging the traffic. Cost of taxi to centre, varied from 10 to 15 Euros depending on drop off. Nice neighbourhood, lots of local shops, restaurants etc, very safe feel and cheaper than town for dining and drinking. Bus stop about 5 minutes from Hotel, hassle getting in or out on buses unless again you know the routes etc.
Staff: Fair enough, neither off hand or rude, but could be more proactive.
Breakfast: Poor. No cooked food at all, small mixture of breads and smaller cereal and fruit selection. 1 sort of cheese, 2 sorts of ham, orange and water regularly ran out and took time to be refilled.
Rooms: We were in the double executive superior room, 504. Nice decor, good terrace, marble bathrooms, size average, not 2 bad i guess for Rome but the other rooms were much smaller on the lower floors.
Price: 172 euro per room per night, not worth it given location, could and should have got similar deal in a proper city centre hotel.
Hotel Transfer service: Dont do it. Our flight left at 11.05am, it is a 30 minute drive, the hotel arranged our transfer as part of the package and told us to be ready to leave at 9am. The driver didnt come until 930am, the 30 minute drive took 55 minutes as the driver took the scenic route to CIA airport and we made it to check in 10 minutes before the desk closed, far too tight and made us very nervous as at one stage i thought we were never going to get there on time.
Overall the transfer farce at the end made me reduce the rating, but i still on reflection wish i had gone for a more central venue. There is nothing particularly special in the hotel or price to make you stay here and i wont be back and if you do go back yourself, arrange your own transfers, the hotel one nearly cost us an extra day!!!!
