I spent five nights at the Best Western Spring House Hotel based on recommendations on Trip Advisor. As other reviews mention, the rooms are small. I had a single room and it was just your basic bed, small desk and bathroom. The room and bathroom were extremely small but, the cleanliness was very good. The mini bar offers complimentary mineral water which is a welcomed comfort during the summer months in Rome. The air conditioning was also a welcomed friend after spending a long day out in the heat. Note: In order for you to work the lights/air conditioner you must insert your "card key" (included with the key to your room) into the slot as you enter the room. Doing this activates the electrical system.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly. They offered recommendations to local restaurants and were up to date with openings of tourist attractions (i.e. Vatican, etc). The location to the Vatican Museum is very close - no more than a 5 minute walk literally around the corner from the hotel. The metro stop (Cipro) is about a 10 minute stop from the hotel. The breakfast was alright - not the greatest. They offered eggs and breakfast meats but, they seemed alittle too greasy for me.

Overall, this was a positive experience. The prices seemed alittle too much for such a small room but, at least the location is very close to the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. And hey, your in Rome, are you really going to be spending that much time in the room? If your looking for five star luxury, to lounge around in your room, then this is not the place for you. However, I would recommend this hotel to those that are interested in a good location and being out and about seeing the sights of this historic city!

We just got back from our trip and spent 5 nights at this hotel. Very enjoyable, everything was clean and updated. We had a quad room and upon checkin, I asked for a room with a balcony. The mini bar was free, so we had cold drinks in the room, which was great. The breakfast bar was plentiful, with eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, fruit, yogart, fresh pastries, and juices. They also made you cappuccino upon request. The room for comfortable for four people, the shower was small but we figured it out!!! Great proximity to the Vatican and to the Metro Station. The only bad side was everything in this area seemed to close up early at night, but there was a Mexican restaurant and a pizza bar right across the street which was convenient. Would recoomend this hotel again to anyone!!

just got back from rome, we had a double SUPERIOR room, had to climb on bed to get around room, could not fit our luggage, we are not big people and it was hard to squeeze into shower our kids had a triple room, much more room, breakfast was great, location was not the best, only close to vatican, would not stay here again

Good location - near Vatican, easy transport to all other attractions. Comfortable "superior" room - plus safe - complimentary slippers and dressing gowns - good bathroom - huge variety for breakfast and lots of it. All reception staff very welcoming and helpful.
