Location, Location, Location....we were so pleased with the location next to Via Veneto and Villa Borghese Park. We suggest to give yourself an evening tour of the Galleria Borgheses and taken a stroll in the park--amny interesting things to see as well as a great way to see the locals. The outside noise was minimal but the inside noise could be heard fairly easy around 7am--housekeeping, next door room and upstairs room. However, the rooms were spacious and the bathroom was huge. The hotel was very clean and offered a nice breakfast. The staff, however made the place not so appealing.
Upon check in we found out that through the American Express Corporate Web Site the reservation booked for one person for 4 nights. However, our recepit did not state how many people it was booking for-it just stated how many nights and how many rooms. There was no comprimise, the hotel told us it would be an extra 60 Euros for the second person each night. We cut our Rome visit short one night and stayed three nights instead. The Bernini fountain is just down Via Veneto were there is the Metro and the Spanish Steps are just a walk as well were there is also a Metro. The Via Veneto is a main street-that is long, but safe and a nice walk. The Metro is a nice way to save money as taci's love to charge more as well as take you in a different location. Be sure to know your way back from to the hotel before getting into a cab. All Restaurants in Rome charge both for Service and Cooperato & Panne. Both of these charges make for an expensive meal. There are many small Tobacco shops around that you can pre purchase the Metro tickets, Water and snacks for the day.
