A friend & I just returned from a 4 night stay at this marvelously quaint little hotel. We wanted something near all the attractions & something with lots of atmosphere & character. It is located directly across the piazza from the Pantheon & has been a hotel since the 1500's so it offered both those things. We had a twin bedded room which was small, but not cramped. I have stayed in a lot smaller hotel rooms in Europe. The people at the front desk were extremely friendly & helpful, the European style buffet breakfast was terrific, & the room was kept very clean. If you are looking for a ultra-modern, cookie cutter, chain type hotel, this is definitly not the one for you, but if you are looking for a real Roman experience you can't beat the Sole al Pantheon. Yes, it's pricey, but worth every penny. If I ever return to Rome this is where I'll stay!

We had a wonderful time in Rome in March this year. Our origanal holiday was cancelled in February because of the snow!! The weather was ideal not too hot but warm enough to wear tee shirts. The hotel was great Leonardo the Concierge was very nice and gave us lots of useful information about where to eat and what to do on our first day.

We had a standard double room which overlooked the breakfast courtyard. The breakfast was exceptional and it was a lovely setting. The room was small but the bath with jacuzzi made up for it.
we found all the staff helpful and friendly. We were able to walk everywhere from this central hotel. We loved it!

I found the Sole al Pantheon on the web. Our travel agent said not to book it and tried to get us to take a 5 star hotel near the train station. I booked it myself because of the location-ground zero in ancient Rome. We booked a two room apartment (for three) it was well appointed but no Piazza view. The hotel has a friendly staff, small bar and library, they also put out the best breakfast of our visit to Italy. Being on the piazza with the Pantheon was fantastic. Lots of people, nice dining and above all we were walking distance to all of the main attractions of Rome.

Went only one night in this hotel for a romantic weekend in Rome. I booked two weeks prior to arrival. When we arrived, the hotel staff leaded us to the room that was smaller than my home bathroom! a tiny one-person bed, a shower (providing that all rooms should have jacuzzi according to the hotel information). When I asked for a normal room, the staff explained that they have all rooms booked and can only offer a different hotel! They are overbooking! How could a well-known hotel, asking for 400E per night have overbookings? The staff was helpless as in three star hotel in Egypt, only thing they could say was "sorry" and "excuse us". Horrible! spoiled all the vacations.
