How was your stay? We're booked to stay there in September.

I did not stay here but a Belgian friend of mine and her daughter did. We met them in Rome and saw the place. This was for the turn of hte millennium in December, 1999. The restaurant owner owns several rooms in various places in the neighborhood. My friend's room was very large and clean, but it was literally in a building that we had a lot of trouble finding. There are no services that I know of, but it was very cheap when my friend stayed there. Her bathroom was very small -- and I mean SMALL! To this day I don't know how they managed to get into the shower, since there was so little clearance between the sink and the shower enclosure door. I swear you could sit on the toilet and shave at the same time. I've seen more spacious toilets on a cruise ship. It was Italian modern and, again, very clean.

The owner gave good service. They took breakfast, included in the rate, at a nearby bar which had excellent morning cappucino. The restaurant which is owned by the same owner is very nice and the owner very accommodating. We didn't have a reservation for dinner on Christmas Eve, (that's another story) but the owner prepared dinner for us and had it delivered to our friend's room, which was around the corner from the restaurant.

The rooms are close to the colosseum, which is an okay location but not my first choice for staying in Rome, which would be either near the Pantheon or the Spanish Steps.
