I just returned from Italy and loved it all... Rome, Florence and Venice, but the highlight of the trip was a long weekend cooking holiday I took with 'Convivio Rome'. Guido and Sally looked after us so well ,loved the food, wine and cooking lessons, and the region of Sabina, just north of Rome was spectacular....

If you haven't been to the area of Sabina I would recommend it as it completely untouched, it is best to travel around it by car, as there is so much to see and lots of medieval hilltop villages, olive groves etc. And if you are into cooking get in contact with 'Convivio Rome'. Their website <www.conviviorome.com>.

We just returned from a weekend cooking holiday with Convivio Rome as well. It was just incredible. Toffia, the town where Guido and Sally live, is an Italian jewel. There are almost no tourists, people are very, very friendly and the countryside is beautiful. It is the real Italy. Sally and Guido are wonderful. They are very warm and welcoming, knowledgeable about food and about Italy. The food was terrific and the excursions to the abbey and the olive grove were fascinating. I highly, highly recommend Convivio Rome. Oh, and the food was unbelievably good!
