For someone who doesn't want to splurge on a five-star hotel or pay a premium just to be right near the Trevi Fountain or something, Domus Victoria is great. I arrived at the train station from the airport about 8-30pm and walked to this B+B and it took about 25 minutes because i got a bit lost - maybe should have got a taxi or metro , but i never felt threatened walking about this area. We spent 5 days in Rome and stayed at Domus Victoria. This is a good place for a reasonable price in Rome. Rooms with view on a small interior courtyard are very quiet.
