The only thing good about this hotel is the location. Close to everything ... Spanish Steps just at the end of the street and Trevi Fountain, Pantheon etc just a 5-10 minute walk. The entrance to the hotel doesn't look very nice and you have to go up the stairs or take a very strange little elevator to go to your room, but the room we stayed in was just lovely. We just returned from a week long stay at the Doge in Rome. It was terrific. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful. Our room and bath were very very clean and fresh sheets/towels/soaps/shampoos/ were always provided. The delightful breakfast was delivered everyday by a cheerful person. 1- Hotel reception desk is not as pictures show it. This hotel was basic, corridors shabby, but the rooms clean and very comfortable beds. Reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast was basic continental, delivered to your room. The hotel is central - near to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. If you want somewhere just to put your head down, this is it. more
