We have just returned from 9 days in Italy. Our stay at the Residenza was our last stop. It totally lived up to its reviews. The bathrooms were small just as the reviews said, but beautifully tiled, fresh and clean. The staff went out of their way to help us with any and all directions to restaurants and sights we... more

Very easy to get to from Roma Termini, just take the Metro Line A (1 ticket costs 1 Euro) towards Battistini and get off at Lepanto. It is an easy 3 minute walk from there. Very nice, non-touristy (if that is possible in Rome) area with great cafes and pizzerias. Easy walk to the Vatican and proximity to metro. I... more

This is a very small B&B and one that is a bit dated. There's no kitchen or common areas and a musty smell remains in the hallway and in the room. The room was very clean (esp) the bathroom, but wasn't a room that you could really get comfortable in. The location will require that you take the train to... more

We totally loved our stay at the Residenza Vaticana in March 2007. Booking was through Romeby.com, and although it was a bit pricey for our personal budget ($120), I was extremely satisfied. Upon our arrival, we learned the owner/manager had generously upgraded our accommodations, transferring us to their newly opened rooms just a few blocks away. The rooms are on... more

This was a perfect location for us. The B&B is in a condo building so it feels private. No big signs of hotel or anything. It is in a residential area. the service was fine, except the reception guy gave us the wrong info on the vatican museum, causing us to miss our visit on the free day. We had... more

We spent a full week at the Residenza and had a wonderful time. The rooms was impeccably clean and the service outstanding. The room is small but that is the norm for Rome. Besides, we were hardly ever in the room as our intent was to see the city. The Residenza provides a private oasis on a quiet street. The... more

We met up with a bunch of friends in Rome and booked out 5 of the 6 rooms that this lovely little hotel has. Great location not far from Lepanto train station and just up the road from the Vatican as the name suggests, with some really good shopping in the main road a block away. Note that the two... more

The room was very very small, with the door right next to the B&B entrance, so that we could hear other guests coming in all hours of the night. I have never in my life seen such a small shower stall. The cleaning person threw out some personal toiletries. And you better not be thirsty- you will be charged 3... more

Residenza Vaticana is a small B&B (6 rooms), situated on the second floor of an apartment house. We stayed here for three nights. It's a lovely place to stay, very new and clean, nicely decorated, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the rooms and the bathroom are a bit small, especially the shower cabin was quite tiny. The... more

The Residenza Vaticana is very different from anywhere else we have ever stayed, so our initial reaction was, it was very small. The room we were in was compact but quiet. The shower was a godsend as the temperature in Rome was Brrrrrrr cold, therefore a lovely hot shower soon warmed us up, not together as it wasn't big enough.... more
