This small hotel is excellently located 5 minutes walk from the Termini train station. It is surrounded by official buildings and with police cars parked outside the front door most of the time it feels very safe. The room was relatively small, but had everything we needed including: air conditioning, a large comfy bed, clean linen and bathroom with a... more

This hotel was a delight, the staff were helpfull and polite. The rooms are medium sized by european standard and kept very clean(fresh linen each day).Breakfast served from 7 to 10 in a pleasant room.Breakfast was repetitive(eggs, flan, juice good, coffee, rolls ,cheese, jams, fruit, cake, and cereal) but buffet style,so fill up for the day. Reception arranged taxis for us gave us... more

I booked this hotel for a romantic getaway for me and my fiance as we have always wanted to see the sights of Rome. I had booked another hotel previously...Hotel Lirico...but I had some trouble with this (read my review on Hotel Lirico, Rome). Anyway, we flew from Liverpool to Ciampino, where we got an airport coach (Terravision) to the... more

My fiancé and I were arriving to Rome by train from Florence. We just needed a place to touch down for one night since we were flying out the next day. Hotel Camelia was exactly what we were looking for. The location was great, about 4-5 blocks from Termini (train) station (10 minute walk). The room size was quite large,... more

I booked to stay at the Camelia Hotel for 3 nights in December 2007. It was for a romantic getaway/birthday treat - I hit the big '30'. The hotel was superb. The staff were great and very helpful on places to eat nearby, and also help as regards the best way to get round the city. The rooms were spotlessly... more

I recently visited the Hotel Camelia and found it to be very nice and a great value. The rooms were very clean and although not huge, very comfortable ... exactly as pictured on Venere.com. Breakfast was basic but okay and the staff was very attentive. It has a very convenient location, approximately 4 blocks from Termini Station and about a... more

We arrived at midnight on the day of our stay. I rang the guy from the airport to say we would be late. No problem. On arriving the receptionist was friendly and welcoming and gave us a map highlighting all the tourists bits we might be interested in and how to get around (bus numbers etc.) The breakfast is a... more

Small room with carpet covered in stains. the saving grace was the bathroom which was modern and clean. Service at the 'average' breakfast was impersonal, bordering on rude. At 10.00 on the dot the staff switched off the lights and TV irrespective of how many guests were still eating. We were charged £150 per night for 7 nights by Cresta.... more
