What stands out for me was how rude the front lobby staff were. Upon arrival, the gentleman working behind the front desk was complaining about other customers that had phoned him and had a negative disposition for the duration of the trip. The restaurant staff was pleasant although simple things like "tap water" were not available and they argued with... more

BEWARE - The hotel is almost 2 kilometers from both Ostia Antica ruins and train station (and 10k from the airport - check Google maps!) and the only route is a very busy road with no sidewalks or shoulder. The website is blatantly false, and should be charged with false advertising - 800 meters is simply a lie - and... more

Cheap, close, and has a shuttle. Food was good. Nothing to complain about but nothing to cheer. more

This hotel is nothing like the pictures on the website. The rooms are tiny and very cheap in construction. The floors have no carpet. There is no furniture except something like an open bookshelf and very cheap portable chairs and a small plastic wood table. The TV is 12" and only a few channels all in Italian. Like others posting... more

We were staying at this hotel just for one night. We had an early flight out, and their website said they were near the airport. This is true. The hotel shuttle (not free) in the morning was easy and took under half an hour. The room was fine and the shower was one of the best we had in Italy.... more

Agree with most of the reviews mentioning problems with location; poor signage from train station and we ended up walking to the hotel for lack of info as to how far it was--survived traffic nearby just barely, lugging wheeled case through ditches full of rain for half an hour. Take the bus! Hotel is so far from 'village' and ruins... more

The hotel was difficult to access without your own transport, the so called shuttle service was over priced and only available at certain times. On the day we left we tried to book the shuttle for 4.00pm but were told that at 11.00 it stopped and did not re-start until 5.00pm. The shuttle cost 10 euros per person one way.... more

We expected a 3 star and paid 130E for our last night in Italy. The web sites we checked assured us the hotel was 3 star, had wireless internet throughout the 'entire' hotel (Booking.com) and was air conditioned. The beds were the most uncomfortable and noisy (creaked loudly with every movement, looked like home built wooden boxes with a thin... more

When we arrived at a nearby train station we called the hotel asking them to send a cab. The taxi service ripped us off by refusing to set the meter to zero (we were already under way when we noticed) and charged us an astronomical fee for a 5 minute ride! When we complained to the hotel staff- their response... more

I was using this hotel as a base for an early start at the Ostia Antica archeological site. I knew I would be arriving late, so I emailed a few days before arriving to notify them and to check that the reception was open, and also to check the details of how to reach them. The instructions I received back... more
