If you are looking for a bed and a bathroom, this will do. The room has little personality. The helpful, friendly staff and the location are the hotel's best features. The staff were really great. I, however, was not a fan of the traffic and the noise that you cannot escape from in this area. Despite its unbelievable location, I... more

We picked Hotel Giardino because of its great location in the heart of historic Rome. It's a walk up one story with no elevator, but that wasn't a big deal. You ring their doorbell outside (look for Giardino on the list of building occupants) and they buzz you in. The young staff (they seemed like college students) were friendly, helpful,... more

Pros: This hotel is a clean place to lay your head when sight seeing in Rome. The location was awesome. You are in walking distance to every major attraction with the exception of the Vatican. The staff spoke English very well and was always willing to give advice, recommendations and directions. Breakfast was basic but great (juice, coffee, tea, bread,... more

This is an excellent place to stay in Rome. Even though my wife has some problem with walking, she was able to easily manage the steps up to the hotel. And with the central location of the hotel and it being just a few yards from the bus stop, this was the perfect location for our first trip to Rome.... more

Stayed here a couple weeks ago. Room was clean and nice, air conditioning worked great which was nice since it was in the 80's that week. This is a perfect location, a short 5-10 minute walk to just about everything. Staff was very helpful, great dinner recommendations. Breakfast was basic and same as all the places we stayed, but good.... more

We stayed 4 nights from May 14 - 18th. Great security as you are down the street from the Pres Palace, close to all the main sights. We are walkers so perfect for us. Staff was very helpful with directions, arranging transport when needed and nice breakfast service. Wifi worked in the lobby. Not so quiet if you are next... more

We actually had another hotel reserved and arrived there and just didn't feel comfortable or have a good feeling about it. So we got out our Rick Steve's book and searched the surrounding area and found this gem! We were so thankful that they could accomodate us for three nights in this little penzione. The staff was so friendly and... more

We recently stayed at Hotel Giardino with the recommendation from Rick Steves....and we were NOT disappointed! First, the location cannot be beat. The hotel is within easy walking distance from ALL the major sights in Rome with the exception of the Vatican. But that was no problem at all as just around the corner from the hotel is the bus... more

We flew into Rome arriving late at night, and had reservations here. The owner is an English lady couldn't have been nicer. The breakfast's were perfect, the location wonderful, and although our room was a bit spartan, that is what we were paying for, and it was clean and very comfortable. Would I stay there again, absoultely. more

Hotel Giardino is great. They are very helpful and what a wonderful, centrally located place to stay. After looking at some of the reviews, I have to say that it is along the lines of a Comfort Inn or something similar. If you are looking for luxury, this is not it. This is a comfortable, nice, 3-star hotel- just what... more
