If you after a glitzy and glamorous hotel then this is not for you. This is a charming haven of peace and tranquility for those who wish to be close to St Peters. We booked a deluxe room for 4 nights. We had heard that the rooms were small but whilst not large it was not cramped. The bathroom was... more

We loved the location - no matter how much wine you've had, you can always find your way home. The buses are right outside, so a hop on, hop off tourist bus is a very convenient method of public transportation. The interior courtyard is so peaceful and quiet- then you open the magnificent doors and find yourself in the middle... more

I picked this hotel, based on Trip Advisor Reviews, for my husband and mother in law to stay at on their trip to Rome. I wanted something close to the Vatican because they were arriving late Saturday Night and attending Palm Sunday Mass at the Vatican early the next morning. I also arranged their airport transportation through the hotel. They... more

This hotel is a gem for those who love to spend time in St Peters. I will return and return and return. Rooms are small but pristine - in a location like this you only want to sleep and spend you day outside in the Vatican and Rome. For those who love the Dvine Mercy Saint Faustina and Perpetual Adoration... more

My husband and I stayed at Palazzo Cardinal Cesi on Sept. 23-Sept.27 for our 15th anniversary. This is a lovely place. The location is fabulous- with St. Peter's Basillica outside your doorstep, the taxi stand across the street and every hop on hop off bus in town making stops across the street the location can't be beat. The world outside... more

I booked this 'hotel' instead of where my uncle & aunt were staying on the other side of Castel St. Angelo b/c it was cheaper and in the best area. Don't be scared by the average price shown, I played with dates on their website and a single was as low as 85EUR. (I paid 170EUR) Except for their sister... more

My Partner and I stayed at this hotel last week and loved it. You cannot beat it for its location. It is literally moments away from St Peters Basilica and is an oasis of calm in the madness that is Rome. The bedrooms are not big, but hey it is an old building. The bathrooms are really tiny - I... more

In late May, a group of 12 "old friends" (we graduated from high school together over 44 years ago!) booked a Princess cruise that left from Civitavecchia on May 26th. We decided to add a little adventure to our trip by flying to Rome two days earlier and seeing the sights on our own. Luckily we found the web site... more

Stayed for 1 night, the hotel was very nice, beautiful courtyard to sit and have a drink or pot of tea. Location is excellent for the Vatican, we even saw the Pope on the Wednesday. Room had everything you needed except for tea making facilities which were really needed after a day of sightseeing. more

Right next door to the Vatican City it is ideally situated if the Vatican is your main focus for the trip. The courtyard/lobby is the best I have ever experienced but, a common theme with Italy and indeed most European cities, the room was small. Right outside the hotel is are about 6 tour bus stops so take your pick... more
