Location - very close to Roma Termini which was good. It's a bit out of the way from the main attractions but that being said it was not far at all to walk. On first impressions the hotel looked a bit sketchy as it is above what seemed to be a bank and you have to buzz in and then... more

We were originally suppose to stay at the hotel Best Roma, but were told the hotel was under renovation and we had no room. So after a long day of travelling, we were moved to the Invictus, but had to pay for our own cab to get there. The room we were originally given was small and was also the... more

Lovely clean cozy hotel, centrally located with friendly knowledgeable staff. Great location for sites. Walking distance to Termini and Barberini metro. Continental breakfast (cereal/juice/rolls/croissants/tea/coffee) and plenty of it. Good sized room with fridge, tv and en suite. Entrance is shared by apartments with hotel being top two floors so with two entrances it felt very safe. Sat tv has only... more

My wife and I booked this hotel through Expedia.com. Expedia states this 'hotel' has free internet, free parking & full breakfast. They had none of the above! No internet, no free parking (unless you consider free parking to be a free space in any street in Rome), and certainly no 'full breakfast'. This isn't even a hotel, never mind a... more

Beware of fraud! I recently took my girlfriend to Rome to celebrate the New Year and the whole thing was wrecked by the fraudulent people who run this hotel. They charged us twice for the 'privilege' of staying there - taking my credit card details from the booking I made via their website to make a second charge. When I... more

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights adn were pleasantly surprised. Admitted the hotel is not exactly smack in the center of things. It's a 12 minute walk to the Spanish stairs - about half to Piazza Barberini. The good thing is that it is only a 5 minute walk from Termini (but not in the seedy district), which... more

After seeing previous reviews I was very concerned about staying at this hotel. However I found this hotel secure, clean and well situated for a good price. The Hotel is entered by a intercom system which when you arrive for the first time is not the easiest to find, you then enter via a locked door which to be honest... more

I booked this hotel through Last minute.com & couldve kicked myself after id paid & found out it was cheaper to book direct (Supposed to have been a special rate!) When we arrived at the Hotel Invictus it was very poorly marked & we almost walked past it. You access the hotel by pressing a buzzer & they tell you... more

You have to carry your luggage up to the 1st floor (which is our '2nd' floor in the U.S.) then from there you can hop in a tiny freight style elevator which will take you up to the "hotel" floor(s). The entire building is not just for hotel Invictus. They are simply on one or two floors in this building.... more

The initial problem was that I booked 3 nights at the Hotel RE not the Invictus. There was no Hotel RE at the correct address, this did cause a bit of a concern when we arrived, I thought we had been ripped off! After asking a local shopkeeper, we were pointed to a door to an apartment block, and rang... more
