Having had a good tour with Riviera Travel before, we felt some confidence in them using the Abitart for their Rome tour despite the negative comments in other reviews. I can understand them, especially if staying here alone on business. The area is a bit scruffy, but the hotel is spotless and has examples of modern art all over, even... more

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and spacious. The room was awesome and they have free internet in the lobby. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. more

My husband and I stayed at the Abitart for 3 nights and had a very good experience. Front desk staff (3 different people) were all very friendly: highlighted maps for us, detailed bus routes, and recommended a local restaurant. Room was clean, beds comfortable and enough space for us to relax. We booked through a travel agent who requested a... more

This is a four star hotel suited towards business travellers. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were large, and it had all the amenities such as chocolates at night, nice shampoo, etc. The shower was really excellent. Breakfast is a buffet offering a large assortment of cereals, yogurt, fruit, pastries, juices, and scrambled eggs large sun room. It was... more

The interior design was certainly different but appreciations of 'art' vary... Positives: Good shower, pretty clean place. Negatives: The soulless reception/bar area was matched by the staff who were almost uniformly disinterested and unfriendly. The breakfast was distinctly average (they must have looked hard to find such bad coffee in a place like Italy) and lots of items 'out of... more

I'm giving this place a 2* based solely because they offered us a free dinner in recompense for not honouring our booking. If not, it would have got one only. We booked some time ago via internet, got a confirmation and we also reconfirmed. When we arrived in Rome, our friends who had also booked a room told us that... more

We stayed at the Hotel Abitart March 3-6, 2006. Hotel - Nice rooms, but hot, very noisey area - if you're not on the back side of the hotel - you won't sleep. Good bathrooms, hard beds and pillows. Breakfast was good. Restaurant attached: expensive, need reservations, rude staff Front desk: spoke English, not very friendly Location: BAD....if you're in... more

I cannot stress this enough about this so-called hotel - please do not waste your money. We stayed there stayed for 3 nights in May 2005. I had phoned ahead to reserve a specific suite in the hotel for our stay. When we got here around 6pm to check-in, they informed us the suite was not ready and asked if... more

Just got back from 3 nights in Rome. I searched for days looking at different hotels for Rome and ended up staying at this hotel. Both myself and my husband loved the hotel. The staff were great and the area we found to be brilliant! Our room was a blue room and had a walk in wet room shower! Which... more

This hotel was pretty fab - triple room - extremely large with lovely bath and shower, clean and funky - 100Euros a night, great service, lovely. Of course there is a catch - no real air con and when we openned the windows the road was mega noisy. However we were pretty tired most nights so it didn't disturb our... more
