This hotel is in a wing of a Monastery of the Basilica of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme. It is attached to the Basilica and you enter the hotel by a door to the right of the church. The lobby is lovely and is very inviting. All staff speak some English. We were there May 25, 09 for two nights and... more

After reading the other reviews we asked that our hotel room be on the garden side, when we arrived we found our room over looking the road, the air conditioning not working and our bedroom that should have been three seperate beds was a double and a childrens sized bed! When we asked for something to be done we were... more

We booked this hotel through Easyjet as a birthday getaway and had a swell time. The hotel is easy to get to from Termini, with about a 25 minute walk through what appears to be the Chinatown area of the city. The hotel, which is easily accessible from a door to the right of the main entrance, is just 5... more

Just returned from a stay at the Domus Sessoriana in Rome. Great location - we walked to San Clemente (don't miss this place), Colosseum, Forum, Capitol Museum, Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain - everywhere. REALLY fabulous restaurant right down the street "Cipriani" - just ask the man at the desk at the hotel. The hotel is clean and nice - but... more

This hotel is build in an old monastry. One of the wings is still prohibited for tourists and monks live here. The building is amazing and the service is great. You get welcomed like you are in a 5 star hotel! Our room was very tidy and quite big. On the roof is a terrace which looks out on the... more

Hotel was pleasantly surprising as I had heard that all Roman hotels were cramped and a rip off. I had read to ensure we requested a room on the upper floor as they are newer and much bigger than the others, which we did. Ceilings were vast, nice view, clean bathroom. Bed was very hard however, to the point where... more

This hotel is indeed an interesting property, and the staff is friendly and helpful, but it is not at all suitable for business travelers. My corporate travel agent booked a stay here for me because it was only a couple of blocks from the place I was working and was on that company's recommended list. (I have since asked the... more

Most points already well covered - we found the room, en-suite area and beds on the small side. Breakfast OK, rooms etc generally clean. The (mainly vegetable) garden is sited in an old Roman amphitheatre and there are certain days when you can enter and be shown round for a fee. We had a room facing the square and main... more

We (a family of 4 including 2 teenagers aged 17 and 14) stayed for 4 nights and particularly enjoyed the character and general ambiance of the place. We had a room on the 2nd floor which contained 4 single beds with ensuite facilities and a balcony. The room was very clean and simply but adequately furnished. The buffet breakfasts were... more

We stayed here five nights September 2007. I cannot rave enough about this hotel. We loved it ! It is attached to a beautiful church, the rooftop terrace is enormous and the views, you will never forget them. It is very clean. Ask for a room with a balcony. I definitely would stay here again. Also the front desk sells... more
