I am from Xiamen in Cina and I travel for work very often in Europe, and I have stayed in many different hotels in Rome. I knew this hotel because a colleague recommended it to me and I had a very nice stay there. I am so surprised to read bad comments now because the experience of my stay was... more

We just arrived back from Rome, Italy and had a great time even though our money doesn't go very far. The Principessa tea hotel was a good value. It was located near the via veneto. the hotel is in the process of being done over and we were pleasantly surprised by the rooms. they started the renovations from the top... more

I've read many reviews of this hotel before we headed for Rome. The hotel was prepaid, so there was impossible to change. A certain amount of the reviews was VERY bad, and we were excited when we wntered the hotel 10 pm at March 29th. But alas - everything was just perfect: a nice room (newly renovated) with a comfortable... more

The place was really a pleasant surprise and can't say enough good things about it. Maybe the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Made you feel right at home with really laid-back but at the same time professional staff. Really friendly people. The location was perfect because although it was totally right in the downtown, it wasn't an area loaded... more

Night # 1 -When we arrived we were told they could not honor our reservation, so they sent us to a nearby hotel for the same price. Our room was on an incredibly busy street so the noise level all night kept us awake (we equated it with a Boeing 747 driving up and down the street.) Night #2 -... more

I travel for work, so as a result stay in a lot of Hotels and this is without doubt the worst hotel I have EVER stayed in. Three points: - The rooms are awful/dirty (nothing like the photos at all) - The price is completely unreasonable given the location/service levels/overall feel - Service was poor Headline: DO NOT STAY AT... more

Hey after reading all the reviews I was really nervous about our one night stay - as this was our last night in Rome before boarding our ship and I wanted it to be nice for my family (4 of us) We were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful room that they gave us - really - great bathroom, beautiful bed... more

I booked the hotel via a web site that offered an excellent deal. Indeed, for a 2 star hotel in Rome it was cheap - 90 Euro a night. But the experience was horrible. The first two floors of the hotel are completely run down. We were told that the other three floors are renovated but although we asked to... more

July 2008 We have just returned from a months holiday in Europe and unfortunately we stayed at the Principessa Tea. Our first room was very run down, dirty walls and mouldy bathroom. We pointed out that this room was not similar to photos and descriptions we had viewed in travel brochures. We were offered a new room which had just... more

We did not voluntarily stay here, were moved to this hotel (after a very difficult process finding our reserved Hotel Ferraro) due to a "lack of hot water". Our room was filthy, the pillows were gross, and the bedspread was old and disgusting. We stashed it away so we wouldn't accidently put anything down on it. Principessa Tea Hotel is... more
