Listen, if you are looking for an affordable, small boutique hotel located near the major sights in Rome, with a comfortable air-conditioned bedroom and a spacious bathroom, this is your place. It will certainly be mine whenever I am in Rome again. Yes, the breakfast is pretty dreadful, but we don't go to Rome to eat breakfast, and there is... more

Ottocento is in a perfect location -- minutes from the Piazza Barberini, Vio Veneto, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Via Del Corso. The reception staff is either wonderfully friendly or appallingly dismal and disinterested. At over 230 euros a night, there is no excuse for a lack of exceptional service. The breakfast is awful -- we switched to this hotel after... more

Excellent staff, superb restaurant service and of course wonderful spacious and spotless rooms. But the highlight of our stay was definately the LOCATION.If you are travelling with teenage kids like we were, this hotel will absolutely give your family a real 'dolce vita' stay in ROME.Thank you ottocento for making us feel at home. more

My husband and I travelled to Italy for our honeymoon in October of 2008, and Rome was our first stop. Albergo Ottocento was a beautiful hotel with friendly staff, and our room was always clean and fresh. One problem, though. His wedding ring was stolen. After searching high and low, we contacted the front desk and hours later, a cleaning... more

The Ottocento was a great find at the last minute for us. We had a triple room 110 which although smallish was new and well appointed with a great bathroom. Clean and with free wi fi internet access. The staff were excellent and the breakfast more than adequate. The location is GREAT. Very convenient to many must dos for Rome. Can highly... more

I have just come back from staying at the Ottocento and would recommend this hotel to anyone. My room was typically small, as are most European rooms, however the bathroom was large (almost disproportionately to the room, but hey, I wasn't complaining) Everything was very clean and well maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful, and gave me heaps... more

Albergo Ottocento was mediocre at best. staying close to the top of the spanish steps was a fantastic location, thats where it ends. the rooms are tight, and despite a few dress ups here and there, its average. dont take anything electrical, plugging in involved dragging out the desk and choosing the fridge or my hair straightener. Bathrooms were good,... more

The hotel is well located, the amenities were good, the staff was ok, the restaurant and breakfast good. Our room was tiny but nice and stylish, the bathroom with jacuzzi was great. We arrived on Fri the 21st of November. On Monday the 24th my husband needed to send an email and when he looked for his laptop it wasn't... more

Had this recommended by a friend. Stayed for only 3 nights for a short weekend break. Good location, quiet and only a 5 minute walk to top of Spanish Steps. 40 minute walk to colosium. Hotel was clean, bedding and towels changed every day. Breakfast very simple but adequate to fuel up for the day. Only had one issue -... more

We stayed 4 nights in double deluxe room in the end of August. We booked special offer through hotel`s own website and paid 525 € for the entire stay. We asked an early check-in advance, but they were not able to confirm it then, but they promised we could leave the luggage there. When we arrived after 10 am, our... more
