We booked the triple deluxe room for a weekend trip with our young niece. The room was a standard double with a third bed squeezed into the limited space. I asked at reception but was told that a deluxe triple is just a standard double with another bed put into the room. It was nothing like the description or photo... more
The rooms in this hotel were nice, clean and quiet. Can't complain about them. Some of the staff had serious attitude. On our departure on the last day, we asked the man at the reception to call us a taxi. He made a phone call, said it would be €70 to the airport. We told him we had just paid... more
Of the three hotels we stayed in during our trip to Italy, this was the most expensive and the most disappointing. When we checked in, we found cigarette ashes on the bathroom floor and hairs on the sheets. Some members of the front desk staff were wonderful, but some were rude and seemed bothered to have to send an extra... more
We are a 60 year-old couple traveling independently in Italy for the first time. Our 3 week trip was arranged by a travel agent. We requested standard double rooms in smaller, interesting hotels. The most striking thing was how cold and unfriendly the staff was, the hotel restaurant average and extremely overpriced. The location too far... more
I am afraid that the only points I scored by booking this site seeing trip for my wife and her sister were for the site seeing. The report that follows is on their behalf and a result of what they told me about the trip. If it had been me I would have walked to another hotel I am sure.... more
We have just returned from a very hot (35-39 degrees), yet enjoyable weekend in Rome, staying at the Donna Laura. Having read previous reviews, we were aware of some people's comments/complaints, but wanted to reassure future readers that our stay was trouble free and a relaxing break away. We found the service impeccable, from bar staff, wait staff through to... more
Donna Laura Palace Roma The place is located right next to the river Tiber. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished. Vaticano and Piazza del Popolo are within walkable distance (20 – 30min). Metro Station Lepanto is a 10 Minutes walk. Anyhow in June 06 I had a weekend there with my girlfriend and I was very disappointed. The main... more
