What an awful place. Our first room was a virtual prison with bars on the windows and a dark depressing atmosphere. We asked to change rooms and were politely told no. That night we could hear the people next to us using the bathroom. How delightful and the good news is with two of them we got to hear it... more

This is a fantastic hotel! The location is perfect! It is located in the middle of Rome and there is absolutely no need to catch the subway, bus or taxi. I walked to the Colosseum, Vatican, Termini etc. The rooms are very nice and clean and the bathroom is a great size too. It would have been better to have... more

As so many people have stated, the location is fantastic. You can easily walk to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona etc. No Metro stops nearby, so buying the Roman Pass just for this, could be a waste of money, but the main public bus stops across the road. Front desk were very helpful. I even returned to the... more

We spent a couple of days here after a Royal Carribean cruise. Hotel was excellent. Only small quibble might be that the shower is quite small but as neither my wife nor I are very 'large', this was not a problem for us. Very clean, friendly, courteous staff, nice breakfast . Bar and bar staff very welcoming. more

Spent three days here with spouse. Very nice location, could see all the sights! The rooms and hotel were kept very clean, breakfast was good - and the staff friendly and spoke english. My only complaint is that the roof terrace/garden was not "open" - you could go up, but it wasn't attended to, and seemed like a wasted opportunity... more

Very impressed with the Cosmopolita. In a great location in a clean and safe feeling part of the city. I loved breakfast, and feel that it would satisfy most appetites, the best that we have experienced in about 6 European hotels. I do feel that some people are very picky about what they feel a good breakfast is - but... more

Although the Cosmopolita's location is unquestionably its best asset, there are other reasons to recommend it. Yes, the rooms and bathrooms are small by American standards, but they are nicely decorated and well furnished. Although the hotel is located just a few feet from one of Rome's busiest and is near the very noisy Piazza Venezia, our room, which faced... more

If you only want to use the hotel as somewhere to sleep and take a shower, it's a great location - 10 minutes to the Trevi Fountain, 5 minutes to the Forum and 10 mins to the Colosseum. But it certainly ain't luxurious!! And the staff are a bit grim. And the rooms are compact - to say the least.... more

Upon arrival on May 18 we asked if we could be accomodated earlier than the check-in time because of having traveled over night from the states. It was 11:30 a.m. We were sent to a room (402--avoid this one) within 20 minutes (good). The shower was so small that one of regular girth would have had to squeeze in sideways.... more

The location is the best aspect of this hotel. This hotel was voted by Expedia as being in the top 1%--but due to the staff, I consider that a bit generous. The front desk person that checked us in seemed to think he was working at the Waldorf in NYC with his less than welcoming attitude. However, I am willing... more
