When I booked this hotel, I read reviews saying that it was a bit far from the center. I need to clarify that it IS far from the center, and not just a bit. I admit, I should've checked the map before booking. My husband and I can walk long distances (and truth be said, the walk to the nearest... more

The hotel itself was very good, although high priced. The drawback was that it took about 25 minutes to get to city center because we had to walk 15 minutes to the metro, then take the metro a few stops to the center. Also, for the price charge, I expected a better breakfast. more

I had read all of the reviews I could find on the hotel before we traveled, so I had a little concern when we checked in. As soon as we got there the concern disappeared. The hotel is most pleasant, clean and located in a very quiet neighborhood. The staff was most helpful. Once you understand the bus and metro... more

Choose this hotel if you get a good price and don't mind a bit of travelling to and from the centre.. The connections are good enough as you have a few buses going directly to the termini station. The bus stop is around 200-250m walk. The express bus would take 10min while non express would take 20min. We did not... more

Hii There, We have just returned from an exciting trip to Italy and we stayed at this hotel for 2 days. The hotel is situated in an area directly accessible by public transport and is very near to the tourist attractions like the Colosseum and the like. The hotel is excellent value for money, the rooms are spacious, nice and... more

Would definitely reccommend, great business style hotel but with super roof terrace and outdoor area. Only issue was it wasn't walking distance to main sights but taxis very cheap, especially if you are travelling with a group as we were. Fantastic local restaurants just nearby, including our best Italian meal ever. more

Not bad...

I selected this hotel because its location is off the beaten-track of Rome's city center. To an extent this turned out great because the hotel's neighborhood is relatively quiet and not swamped with tourists. I enjoyed the regular supermarket around the corner, the produce market on Saturday and the Mediterranean feel of this neighborhood. However...what you miss is exploring Rome... more

We stayed at the Mecure Roma for 3 nights in June. Bruno, who welcomed us at the front desk said, "What language you speak? We can handle Chinese, Japanese, German and English." Although we were eager to begin speaking in our newly-studied Italian language, it was comforting to know that English was not only understood, but spoken very well. Bruno... more

I booked this for 3 nights over a weekend in July 2008. Price came out at €207 total, which was just under £170 with the current bad exchange rate. The hotel room was clean, had thick curtains to keep the light out, and a larger than expected bathroom. Water pressure for the shower was excellent (we were on the third... more
