The Villa Maria describes itself as a quaint Italian Bed and Breakfast located only 5 km from Rome….and this couldn’t be further from the truth. It preys on tourists who are not familiar with the standards of hotels in Italy and we unfortunately discovered this upon our arrival from the Rome airport. We expected to pay 40-50 Euros at most... more

I loved my week here and would happily go again. It was clean, peaceful and friendly - most fellow guests were easy going and easy to strike up conversations but some were clearly unprepared. I used the hotel as a Rome base, driving to the nearest Metro station every day after rush hour also worth exploring the area - recommend... more

Well, this was my fault. I didn't read the review before booking the hotel. On Villa Maria webpage, they said that it is easy to locate the hotel. Get to the metro station Tiburtina and catch the Blue Bus Cotral to Palombara. Sound easy, right? Guess what, the trick is which Blue Bus? There were plenty of Blue Buses in... more

We booked a double room for 2 persons via Internet. We reached Rome Termini station late in the evening. There was no any bus. We asked a Taxi driver to drive us there. He did not know the place where the hotel situated. Anyway he found in the map and we come to the hotel in a very dark and... more

I am a student and was on a budget so booked this hotel thinking it would be alright as said it was only 5km from, turms out it was more like 20KM. We were made to wait half an hour in the broiling sun when we arrived because our room was not ready, when we asked someone for a drink... more

This place rates lower than Terrible. Can't believe anyone could rate it Average. All previous negative comments are true; misleading Villa pix, continental breakfast is a joke, waaay outside of Rome, rude rude desk reception (The little guy. The women were civil). In addition: 1st, we returned to Villa at 10pm. My friend found her pj pants with bleach stains... more

I read the reviews on this website about Residenza villa maria and none of them were good so I was a bit scared. But since I had already booked my holiday and I didnt want to tell my aunt (who was with me on the trip), I decided to bear it and go along. I admit it was a bit... more

I wanted to book an hotel just outside Rome where we could relax away from the hustle but get into town easily for shopping and dining. This hotel looked as if it fitted the bill - they had two single rooms, with all facilities at a great low rate, and said they would pick us up from the airport. The... more
