We picked this hotel as it seemed in a fairly quiet area and the room looked large. The Mayfair is about 15 min walk from Termini station and although on a bus route is not near any metro station. It does not proclaim itself from the road and we walked straight past it the first time! Its a hotel mosly... more

If you are looking for larger than average rooms and access to a clean place to say and don't mind being just outside of the main hub of activity then this would be a great place to base yourself. The Hotel Mayfair Residence is dated in appearance but the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There aren't any faciltities onsite,... more

We had read the reviews on trip advisor for this hotel and also their own webiste so we were in two minds. However on arrival everything seemed to be OK, it was very quiet and we could not see any bars or restaurants around but there were a couple of pizza places round the corner. The balcony doors would not... more

We stayed at this apartement hotel for a weekend in april. The room we got was really a one bedroom apartment with a small kitchen. This was good as we had our eight month old son with us, and could heat babyfood in the kitchen. We also got a cot for the baby. The hotel staff was friendly and helpfull... more

First impressions are often the most important – and this place will disappoint in that regard. The street that the hotel is located in is graffiti strewn, which does not convey a favourable impression (however, the worst building is a school, diagonally opposite). Then when you enter the place you begin to feel “oops we’ve made a blunder with this... more

This was a really great hotel at a reasonable price. We booked a junior suite for 3 nights, which consisted of two spacious rooms, a kitchenette and bathroom. We found the suite a bit big for just two people to be honest! The rooms were immaculately clean with very effective air con too. Décor was only standard hotel fare, so... more

To clarify, we are experienced travellers on several continents, accustomed to local-flavor 3-star hotels. Our Mayfair room was on two levels, with a spiral staircase up to the bedroom -- not ideal for lugging up bags and certainly not recommended for small children. There was no way to secure the sliding door to the outside on the upper level. The... more

My daughter and I stayed here in late April. We had a "3 Pax" apartment, which was actually on 2 levels with a spiral staircase. The unit was huge, clean, decently furnished, and quiet. The furnishings were pleasant enough, the staff was very helpful, the breakfast was very good. The little kitchenette was handy for snacks. The bathroom could have... more

The price is great, the room is huge (it's bigger than most apartments in Chicago and/or Tel Aviv), the staff is exceedingly helpful with any and everything you may need, and the location is close enough to the sites you'll want to see, but far enough away to grant you a peaceful morning wake up. Highly recommended. more
