I booked this hotel based on reviews found in tripadvisor. The hotel is beautiful with friendly staff. I would say the best quality of this hotel is the large size of the rooms compared to other European hotels. It is very near the colloseum and the walk to the rest of the sites is not too bad. The breakfast was... more

Capo d'Africa was a wonderful hotel to begin my trip to Italy with my mother. The hotel is a 2min walk away from the Coliseum, in a very quiet neighborhood. We were able to get a "3 nights for the price of 2" deal at the beginning of June, and this hotel was totally worth it! the room was very... more

The Capo d'Africa is close to the Colisseum so handily situated for the Forum and St John Lateran as well as the colisseum. The underground is nearby and very handy. Its only €1 for a ride to wherever you are going. We used it to go the Vatican museums as well as heading over to the Spanish Steps- a good... more

I like this hotel and would stay here again. Its not full of character but its small stylish very clean and friendly. Perfect for a business trip or weekend break. Fabulous views from the terrace and a decent breakfast. The rooms are quiet and very comfortable. more

Four of us stayed at the capo D'africa recently as we were attending a wedding in florence and then decided to travel to rome for sightseeing. The hotel is very centraly located and is a 5 minute walk to the colleseum. The hotel is modern as previous members have said the rooms are a good size with high cielings with... more

We stayed at the Capo D'Africa in May 2009. This is not what I would classify as a "luxury" hotel - if you want that kind of catering you have to stay at the Ritz - but it is the next best thing, and a very, very nice hotel that is updated, modern and has a really good staff. It's... more

If you have not stayed at other Roman hotels you won't realize how great this place is- or how bad other supposed 4/5 star hotels can be. The location is great. Very close to the Colloseo and forum. The neighborhood is upscale with great restaurants. Best Pizza (in Rome): leave hotel, make left, make left at corner, walk one short... more

There were two couples traveling in our group and we stayed at Capo D'Africa from October 13 through October 19th of 2008. I can't say enough good things about the concierge service. The made all sorts of reservations for us, gave advise, helped us with our Italian. Once, I inquired the name of the medieval church that can be seen... more

I've been meaning to write, as we stayed here in late Nov. 08. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, staff, and the neighborhood. We walked everywhere from this location. The breakfasts were very nice in the rooftop room. There is a great neighborhood restaurant only about 1-1/2 blocks away, but I can't remember the name of it. The hotel seemed to... more

We just spent 3 days, 5 - 8APR09, at the Capo d'Africa, thoroughly enjoyed it! We were met at the curb by the bellman for help with our bags (up several steps!) and had a smiling reception, as if they'd been waiting all day just for us. The spacious room had a comfortable king bed with a window view across... more
