My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights, my first trip to Rome (although she had lived in the city before). Hotel Art is in a great location - on the Via Margutta, a quiet back street that contains a few shops and some nice restaurants, but very close to the Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo, Villa Borghese, etc.... more

We (2 adults and teenage daughter) stayed on the orange floor for 5 nights. Excellent central location- 2 mins walk to sights, restaurants, shops, but really quiet in our room. Breakfast was really excellent with a wide variety of cakes, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, eggs, cold meats/salami, juices etc. Staff at desk not gushing, but very helpful when approached :they arranged... more

My family (husband and 3 children) and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in August 2008. The location is great, very central, and on a quiet back street. We were suprised that the hotel had been listed as one of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World (we have stayed in others) since we did not rate the... more

Stayed at the Art hotel for a weekend stay, with my wife and another couple. I was pleasantly surprised by the great location (only few steps from the Spanish Steps, in a quiet side road). The hotel is generally clean and well maintained. The breakfast, which was included in our Expedia-rate, is much better (more choice) than you would normally... more

This hotel worked out great for our family. We booked a Quad room that had a king and a double bed, each in its own room. The rooms are set up with a sliding door for privacy. The bathroom has a double sink and overall there is more room than a typical Rome hotel, plenty for the four of us.... more

I stayed at the Hotel Art a couple nights in Rome before and after a cruise. Both times I was lucky enough to get a room on the green floor, which is easier on the eyes than the yellow or orange floors (the top floor, the blue floor, doesn't hurt the eyes); however, on both occasions my room was not... more

I stayed at Hotel Art for a few nights in mid-May (pre/post cruise). The hotel is located on Via Margutta, a quaint, quiet street that is close to the Spanish Steps. You may have seen this hotel in an episode of Passport to Europe with Samantha Brown. This was my second time in Rome. The first time I stayed at... more

We are an older couple in our mid 60's and loved this place because of the closeness to a lot of the sights. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The restuarant staff was GREAT!! They were always so friendly. The rooms were a bit small, but if you read about a lot of the European hotels you'll find this... more

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Art by the Spanish Steps for 5 nights while on our honeymoon. First, you CANNOT beat the location. The hotel is in an alley (pretty, not creepy) that's about a 2 minute walk from the Spanish Steps. Somehow, the hotel is perfectly quiet and comfy despite the activity only a block or two... more

The is a 'wanna be' chic designer boutique but it doesnt really pull it off. Strip away the 'egg shell' reception , ok dining area and luminous paintwork in the hallway and you are really left with little more than a basic 3* hotel. The place is very well located a couple of minutes from the Spanish steps. It is... more
