This was a nice hotel with a central location. Most activites can be reached by walking. It isn't all that close to a train stop so I would suggest a cab ride. No elevator. They let us leave our bag before check in and after check out which was nice. Hotel was clean and fresh looking. Breakfast had pastry but... more

Great location, good price. All we needed was a bed and bathroom, so this worked. The bed was actually two twins pushed together, but they were fine. We didn't have breakfast there so I can't comment on that. more

we recently spent 2 nights at the Hotel Arenula. The only positive thing I can say is that the location of the hotel was close enough to most of the sights we wanted to visit. We were disappointed in the hotel staff. They were quite rude. We were even more disappointed in our room. The furnishings were quite sparse and... more

We stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Arenula. Our first day there we were able to walk over to Campo di Fiori in about 8 minutes. Pizza Navonna was another 10 minutes away..it was also really close to Trastevere as well. The rooms were typically small, 2 star really but very clean, had CNN and BBC on the tube and... more

We stayed here for 4 nights in September 2007 and I found, overall, that the pros outweighed the cons, but only marginally. On the plus side, the room was very spacious (a double bed, two singles and a big bathroom) the location was good for walking everywhere, there were plenty of cheap eats nearby and we loved the close proximity... more

For what it is, Hotel Arenula is great. Don't expect fancy digs - it's strictly tiled floors, with bathrooms hardly large enough to swing a cat, and two single beds pushed together to make doubles like everywhere in Italy - but it's clean, neat and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast room is very small, and that's a real... more

Although the location and price of this hotel are excellent, and the breakfast was ample, there is no elevator, and a rather steep climb on winding stairways. You have to climb to the second floor for the reception desk and, although we had requested a low floor, we were originally put on the fourth floor.....a real hardship for seniors. We... more

small family run hotel in great location. no lift so be careful with lots of baggage! We paid for the previous night as we arrived on a very early flight only to find the room had been sold. We did get to check in about 9am [without charge] but we had two e-mails confirming the arrnagement. The lady on the... more

We just got back from a 4 night stay at Hotel Arenula. Location was great. Largo Argentina a two minute walk away, from there a short walk to Piazza Navona for dinner and Campo de´Fiori for drinks afterwards. From there Pantheon and the Trevi is in walking distance. In the other direction from the hotel is Colloseo, approx. a 20... more
