What a great hotel. The front desk was so helpful. The hotel is literally in front of the Vatican. Just cross the street and the entrance to the Sistene chapel is right there. It takes about 8 minutes to walk to the entrance to get to St. Peter's square. There is a bus stop just around the corner. There is... more

We stayed here on our first trip to Rome and we will be going back again....and again. The staff was helpful and shuttle to and from the airport was great. But the highlight of the stay I must say was definitely Francesco their chef. Every morning we were greeted with a huge smile, delicious hot breakfast and pastries. Next time... more

We stayed at Hotel Alimandi for about a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is just a stone's throw (up some stairs) to the Vatican Museum. Getting in to The Vatican itself (like to St. Peter's Square), is a good 5 blocks awau or so along the walls of the Vatican....not really a chore. Following Rick Steve's recommendation, we took... more

We stayed at Hotel Alimandi for almost a week and from our arrival felt comfortable and welcome. We were delighted with the size of both our room and bathroom - and with the power shower! Breakfast was generous, varied and relaxed. Service was especially friendly and there was no limit to the cappuccinos! All staff were approachable, attentive and responsive,... more

We stayed at the Alimandi Tunis Hotel part of the Alimandi Group. It was perfect, the rooms/bathroom were comfortable and spotlessly clean with "white" towels and bedlinen. Breakfast far above the average. The staff were knowleagable and polite, nothing was too much trouble. Immediately opposite Vatican City and very easy to get to other parts of Rome, taxi approx 10eu... more

Most recently I stayed at this hotel in August 2008, but I also stayed there during a previous trip to Rome in 2005. The hotel was a nice as I remebered. The rooms are very large for Europe and they are one of the few hotels with actual quad rooms, meaning two double/queen beds. Most hotels simply roll cots into... more

We stayed at the via Tunisi street hotel and had a wonderful experience. You might think the hotel is out of the way near the Vatican but the bus system in Rome is so convenient and the front desk is very helpful finding the right bus to get you where you want to go. The rooms were a good size... more

They could not have done more for us to make our time there more enjoyable. We have recommended this hotel to family and friends. Stay and have a great time !!!! more

I've been coming to Alimandi since 1966. I might be prejudice but I still marvel at the wonderful job they have done and continue to do with thier hotels. Alimandi Vaticano is a wonderful hotel with large ,clean and beautiful rooms, great service especially Aldo at the front desk. Great food, and here I'm an expert since I have been... more

The Alimandi has been our Rome Hotel of choice on three occasions - the latest in 2006, when we travelled with Alfredo deBonis, who does cultural and culiinary tours in Italy. The family welcomes you to their charming location - convenient for a Vatican visit, or shopping, etc., and you quickly feel "at home". Breakfast on their rooftop can't be... more
