Is it the best hotel? No. Is it the worst hotel? Far from it. For the price and the location (compared to neighboring hotels) you can't beat it. The elevator is ....yeah it's different. Every hotel I stayed in Italy had tiny elevators or lifts as they call them but this was small. The room was very large, almost like... more

In octomber 2008 we have visit Rome and Hotel de Petris has proved to be a perfect location for us. At 3 min walking you find Trevi Fontain and for the evening, the famous area of italian restaurants and terraces. A lot of interest places was at easy to walk distances. We have the bus only for Vatican. Our standard... more

Whilst traveling with my mother (in her 50's) through Europe, we got to visit some lovely hotels. This is not one of them. The shock of such poor service at this hotel, from the moment we arrived, tarnished our excitiement of being in such a mind blowing city. When you first enter the 'lobby' you see front desk staff in... more

we stayed at the De Petris for 3 nights. we decided to go to rome just the other day so hotel options were quite limited. to our luck, we located the De Pertis on TripAdvisor, and booked a triple superior. we have three words for you : Location, Location, Location. two minutes walk to Piazza Barberini (subway station), offers all... more

Our group had three separate rooms and all were clean and spacious with en suite baths. The location was great. We were able to wonder around the Trevi fountain each evening, take public transport from Piazza Barberini, which was a block away, and grab something to eat from the many resturants within the area of the hotel and the Trevi.... more

Wonderful location in the center of Rome, near Barberini metro stop, few hundred meters from Trevi's fountain. Very elegant and clean room, large bathroom, very good breakfast. When I return in Roma probably I'm staying in this hotel again! more

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at this hotel. It is just steps away from the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and great shopping. We stayed here first in 2006 and again in July 2008. Both times we found the room, service, location and price were unbelievably great. There is a full English breakfast included... more

We arrived for a weekend of sightseeing and we were welcomed warmly by a helpful receptionist. The lift to the room was small, just managing to occupy 2 people and 1 suitcase. The room we stayed in (406) was in need of redecoration but it was clean so we were happy until we tried getting the air-conditioning working. Even though... more

We stayed in this hotel for three nights and the location is great, a couple of minutes from the Trevi Fountain and round the corner from the Barberini metro stop. The room was small and could have done with being refurbished but was very clean. The main problem was that the air conditioning didn't work very well and even after... more

We were in room 405, five floors above Via Rasella, for 13 nights, and it was much quieter than I expected. Everyone on the staff is efficient and friendly. The breakfast is copious: meats, eggs, yogurt, cheese, pastries, fruit, juices, and more; capuccino is made if you ask. There is a new spacious elevator for most floors; we had to... more
