Found this hotel on the internet and read the reviews. Booked it and was not disappointed! Inside it's a very lovely Hotel especialy the suite we had with our teen kids. 2 bedrooms 2 flatscreens, 2 airco's and a staircase between the bedrooms. Nice breakfast on the roof terrace!. Close to public transport. If you want to walk: Colosseum is... more

We chose the Columbia because of all the positive reviews we found, both on Tripadvisor and elsewhere. We arrived on 09 April '08, our 25th wedding anniversary. All the good things we read came true for us. Just a couple blocks from Termini, the hotel location was perfect for us. Many bus lines, a big cab stand, and the Metropolitana... more

Just got back from Rome yesterday after a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Columbia. We had two rooms booked, both on the 3rd floor and both were very well appointed, one having an excellent view of via Viminale (double glazed windows blocked any street noise I'm glad to say). Breakfast was excellent, a very good selection and staff here... more

We stayed for a week at the end of March, and absolutely agree with almost all the complimentary remarks about this hotel. We had a good-sized room on the (British) first floor - very quiet and kept immaculately clean by the delightful chambermaids. This cheerful courtesy extended to all the staff, as noted elsewhere. Anke was particularly delightful (thanks Anke,... more

Hotel Columbia is MY home in Rome. The staff is very friendly and accommodating: they recognize returning guests! The rooms are very clean, warm and quite elegant with crystal chandeliers from Murano. The buffet breakfast has a large selection of food: cereal, rolls and breads, coffee cakes, meats, cheeses, and hard boiled eggs, yogart, fruit and of course, coffee, milk... more

We booked our stay at this hotel because of its convenient location near Termini Train Station. Our family stayed in two rooms on the third floor and both rooms were clean and comfortable and the bathrooms were good but not new. The location is very quiet because Via Viminale is not a very busy street. Lots of great little restaurants... more

Fantastic 5 day stay in Rome. The Columbia hotel is an excellent hotel to stay at. Location is near to the train station, about a 5 min walk. We used the hotel as a base to explore the city. We were able to walk to all the attractions, which made it easier to see all the sites on route. Other... more

My father, sister and I recently took our vacation in Rome, and a major part of the pleasure of our trip came from this charming hotel and their wonderful staff. Even before we arrived, they were so thoughtful helping us attend to the details to make our trip a success, up to and including arranging a wheelchair for my father... more

The hotel desk staff really made our stay in Rome great. They were friendly, helpful, personable and engaging. The hotel itself was clean with moderate rooms. We stayed in three different moderately priced hotels while in Rome and this was by far the best for the money. They treated you like family. Internet access and an ample breakfast was also... more
