Went to get a massage between business appointments. Wonderful and the service was very courteous. Yet I got rid of my watch right before the massage and put it on my bathrobe pocket. Left it there and went on to my next business appointment to realize 20min later that it wasn't on my wrist anymore. Went back and it was... more

We did not have a good experience at this hotel. Are room was ok but extremely expensive even by Italian standards for what we got. The key issue was the concierge staff. We book two restaurants through them in advance. We asked for both to be at 9:00 pm and got confirmation that we had these reservations. When we got... more

I stayed here on business and then stayed on for the w/e with my partner. I usually prefer smaller non chain hotels but this was excellent. The staff were great, the room was upgraded, the gardens are lovely and the restaurant, terrace and bar are excellent. I like it for being quite pared down and not oppressively opulent or self... more

I stayed for three nights and found the hotel very good. The staff were courteous and efficient and my room on the fifth floor was quiet and had everything you would expect in a five star hotel. I agree it is very expensive, not helped by the current dire exchange rate from sterling to euros ,however, the standard was high. The... more

This hotel is beautiful, but very overpriced. The rooms are adequate, but not what I would consider luxurious, in need of a paint job, and quite small. The service was good, although the concierge was a tad condescending, which I do not appreciate as a seasoned traveler. The bar is off-limits, as all cocktails are 20 euro ($28 at today's... more

My husband and I had the pleasure to stay with Forte Hotels in both Rome and Florence this past April. We purchased our 6 night hotel package on Luxurylink.com. Our package included 3 nights at the Savoy in Florence and 3 nights at the De Russie in Rome. It was an exceptional value considering the state of the euro vs... more

After a rotten experience with checking into to another hotel in Rome that we'd booked my wife and I agreed to leave that hotel and recover from the demoralising effect (see review of Hotel del Sole Al Pantheon) by staying here. My only quibble is that when I queried the price for a two night stay I was quoted the... more

I booked this hotel knowing in advance it was going to be a nice experience. I was in the last portion of a 10 day business trip to London, Paris and Rome and wanted to treat myself to a nice hotel centrally located in Rome. At 726 Euro per night, the price tag is well worth what you will save... more

This is a very distinctive property. The hotel feels like a modern Italian villa but is located in the heart of the city near the Spanish Steps. Staff are very attentive. The rooms are perhaps small for the price but are well furnished and the public areas are lovely. Food is overpriced. more

Beautiful Hotel, excellent service, superb housekeeping, room service, concierge. Excellent location. We were upgraded to a suite on arrival. We stayed on the second floor. The Hotel is noisy, not from street noise, but noise from construction in the spa (we didn't know about this in advance) and carts etc going through the halls below seemed to reverberate through the... more
