The hotel is located off a main road so our room was quiet. We arrived early and left our luggage at the hotel whilst we went to the Trevi Fountain (15 mins walk away) until our room was ready. Staff were very helpful. They booked a night bus tour and airport taxi for us. Room was clean. Breakfast nice. Colosseum... more

Situated in an excellent location, very central. Staff is friendly and helpful and rooms are of a reasonable size and clean. Comfortable bed. Would recommend the hotel but it has some disadvantages. Breakfast is very limited and we were a bit shocked unitl we got used to it. The room was a bit warm and we had to sleep with... more

This place was soulless! I stayed at another place the other nights (Marta gusethouse - fantastic!) as I had only booked the initial night till I got over jetlag. It is central - but - that area between the Spanish steps and the main rail station Termini - is awful! Very busy with traffic, tourists and noisy. I was travelling... more

Trust me. Spend the money to stay somewhere else. The man at the front desk could NOT have been more horrible to me. When I told him I lost my confirmation email he looked at me with such disgust that I almost left the hotel. The rooms are tiny and dirty, the bathroom is unkept, the beds are hard. I... more

Me and my boyfriend went to Rome for 5 nights and stayed at the Zara Hotel. The location was brilliant and one of the concierges was really helpful, and gave us a brilliant map that helped us so much, we didn't get lost once. The downful is that when we got to our double room there wasn't a plug for... more

We were recommended this hotel by a friend who had stayed there previously. It is in a very great location of Rome. The Via Nazionale, which is close to the train station, close to a pharmacy and walking distance to many sights. We took the tour bus (hop on and hop off) not too far from this hotel. The rooms... more

The rooms are too small, the hotel is very expensive for the services and quality of accommodation that it offers, particularly in comparison with four star hotel located directly opposite (which is in fact cheaper). In addition the night staff are particularly unfriendly, so when you come back form dinner you have to deal with unfriendliness bordering rudeness of the... more

We stayed for 2 nights and had a pleasant stay overall. The check-in and check-out process was smooth. We had to leave the room key with reception when going out but this is common practice with Italian hotels. Continental breakfast - self service buffet of a good standard: unlimited hot drinks (the hot chocolate was delicious!!). There were cereals, bread... more

Great location, about a 5 minute walk to Republica Metro, and 10 minutes to Termini. We walked pretty much everywhere, but caught the metro to Vatican City. We stayed for 3 nights in a double room which comprised of 2 singles. The beds were extremely hard! Bathroom was essentially a shower room, very small, and in desperate need of renovating.... more

We stayed in Zara for 5 nights in May 2007; overall great service, friendly and clean, and the breakfast provided was very good. The guys in the lobby always gave us good directions to the places we wanted to visit, and the location of the hotel is excellent, since we rarely had to take transit to go anywhere! we walked... more
