Lovely hotel in a great location. The room that we had was small but was really nicely decorated in a modern, contemporary style was clean and with everything that you need. Breakfast was fantastic and would cater for everyones tastes, proper "English" cereal, crossants, fruit, gorgeous pastries, chocolate mousse and scrambled egg and bacon. The breakfast room and bar were... more

Booked a deluxe room at this recently refurbished hotel, now called the NH Vittorio Venento, and were given a room on the 6th floor overlooking the Borghese Gardens. The hotel is situated on the a busy motorway in an industrial looking building. Room had a pleasant contemporary decor, somewhat spoilt by the cheap laminate wood-effect flooring. The bed was large... more

Our purpose of visiting Rome was to watch the Italy V Wales 6 Nations rugby match. We booked via a local travel agent called Robert Davies Sports Travel and one of our friends chose the hotel from a list provided by the agent. On finding out that the chosen hotel was the 'Jolly Vittorio Veneto' , as always I consulted... more

What a grim experience. My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for one night prior to returning home after a holiday in Rome and Sorrento (see my other reviews), it was the worst of the four hotels in which we stayed. It appears that the hotel is principally set up for corporate visits and had a conference centre feel... more

We had stayed at the Jolly V V in 1993 and found it to be very clean, nicely decorated, fresh, well-located and good value (included VAT and buffet breakfast). When we read the reviews this year prior to booking we were disappointed to see that the hotel had not kept up the terrific standard we had enjoyed BUT we did... more

I had two nights in the Jolly Hotel and problems first started when I checked in and I could not get the room I wanted and was put in a 'deluxe' room over looking the dlightful Corso Italiano, a very (24 Hour) busy throughfare, which seemed to be used for Italian drivers to test their car horns!!! The room had... more

Being disinclined to spend a small fortune on a Rome hotel - Holy Week prices seem particularly steep - we decided to brave the Jolly Hotel Vittorio Veneto, despite some very negative reviews on this website. What an excellent choice this turned out to be. For €185 per night - a steal by Roman standards - we had a large,... more

We only stayed at the hotel one night. Our stay there was booked by the cruise line. When we read reviews on the hotel, we were a little concerned about what to expect as most reviews we read seemed to be average at best. However, all four in our party agreed that the hotel was decent and clean and not... more

This is a dingy hotel in real need of renovation. The staff in reception were unhelful and surly (can't blame them with the complete lack of natural light, I suppose), and the rooms felt unclean and nicotine stained. I'm not sure how this is even possible, but the air coming out of the hairdryer stank of cigarette smoke. The only... more

My fiance and I just got back from two nights at the Jolly Hotel. For the price (we paid about 120 pounds per night) it's a fine place to stay - the hotel won't make your stay in Rome extra special, but it won't ruin your stay either. Our standard double room was an older style and quite small and,... more
