We stayed in this Hotel (room 313), this week Jun-09 and feel that it was a nice place with some shortcomings. Cleanliness was OK, but not perfect. usually a sign that the staff are not given enough time rather than a lack of diligence. Dust was collecting under the bed when I checked just before leaving. The shower was rather... more

I have recently spent 4 nights in Amalia and It was all that we needed and I must say that I go nuts if I don't have clean bathrooms and even cleaner bed sheets...so ..you can trust my appreciation sense. The hotel is very old - u can see that it hasn't been renovated but it has been maintained well- it's... more

I stayed at the Amalia Hotel in July 2008 for the third time. I thought I posted a review then but it doesn't seem to have made it onto the review section, this also has happened with Naples review that I wrote in Oct, I must be doing something wrong. For my third visit, the Amalia did not disappoint and... more

We were delighted with this hotel. We booked 4 nights for £228 via hotelconnect.co.uk ( they had a promotion on for 4 nights for the price for 3) - which is excellent value for a good location in Rome. When we arrived there was some big maintenance works going on in the small reception area, but we were greeted by... more

This hotel is a bit out of the way. It's also a bit of a trip from the train station. (pretty much every hotel is a trip from the airport) it is also easy to miss but our taxi had no problem finding it. I think it cost 15 euro to get there from the train station. The metro line... more

I was in Rome for one week for work reasons and chose this hotel for no particular reason. The hotel shares the building with private apartments and offices. At first they put me in a ground floor room which had no natural light, stank of cigarettes, had bad air conditioning and mites in the bed. I got bitten the first... more

Just back from 3 nights at the Amalia which my daughter, with help from my wife, booked for my 70th birthday. What a wonderful experience. Must concur with the majority of people about the hotel. Large, comfortable room(405), marble floor, huge bed and spotlessly clean. Lovely bathroom apart from a very small shower cubicle. Different breakfast by usual British standards... more

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel based on the good reviews, and we were not disappointed at all. The Amalia is a great hotel. We stayed there for four nights in hot and sunny August. It's in a perfect location, just a few minutes walk from the Underground line A, which leaves from Termini railway station (which is where... more

Stayed for 3 nights on a b & b basis. the hotel is clean, comfortable and absoultely in a fabulous location for seeing all the best attractions in Rome. On arrival we were warmly greeted and shown to our room. We did upgrade to a room with a "view of the vatican" !. room 504 may have slightly better view.... more

I stayed a week in the Amalia early in October of 2007 with my girlfiend... the location was great. We are very pedestrian / mass transit type people, and the location could not have fit us better. We arrived in Rome from Venice by train, and easily connected from Termini to the subway system, and the hotel is just blocks... more
