Great hotel. Cheaper than its' equivalents due to an out of centre location, but the hotel has countered this by offering a shuttle bus to and from which takes only 5-10 mins. The hotel was equal to its 4stars and the hotel reception staff were extremely helpful. However, we found the location was just too far out and we relied everyday on the hotel's shuttle bus, which you needed to book. Its a quiet hotel, so if your looking for lots of life in the bar, this isn't for you. more

This hotel is well outside the tourist run of Rome, and into domestic Roman life, complete with dogpooh competing with the recycling bins on the pavements, and little old men sitting in the bar near the hotel. We had a wonderful experience at the Duke again. We stayed at the Duke Hotel in 2006 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay so much that we had to go back. We have just returned from a second visit. The ambience of the hotel, the quality of the food served and the ever helpful staff is second to none. 4stars+ more
