I found Hotel Victoria through internet research and comments made on TripAdvisor by other travelers and I have to say the hotel lived up to its reputation. Great location, facing the Borghese Gardens, great staff, excellent services, spacious rooms with all amenities, beautiful bathrooms, impeccable hygiene and very warm decor. Rome is one of my favorite cities in the world... more

Having never been to Rome before, I spent many hours on the Internet over several months researching hotels and areas. Using TripAdvisor and some other sites, I finally ended up choosing the Hotel Victoria Roma and could not have made a better choice for our nine night stay. This is a terrific hotel in a quiet area at the top... more

We stayed in Rome from Dec. 30 through New Years to Jan. 4/09. All hotels in Rome seem expensive, so this one seemed reasonable at 325 euros per night - including a buffet breakfast and all taxes. In the end, we were only charged 225 euros per night, so we were relieved as we were not thrilled about the place.... more

My family and I first travelled to Milan and came to Rome via air. We booked the hotel at the airport itself! Always keep in mind that the rates at the stations and airports are always the cheapest. The regular prices are about E300 for a room but we got the room at a "take-it-or-leave-it" rate of E170! The sweet... more

I read several reviews before booking this hotel and was very excited to stay here. I can't tell you how disappointed we were. Not only did the hotel smell bad but only the bathrooms were renovated. The floor , beds , linens were so old they were faded. The bed was about as comforable as the floor as well as... more

Since my husband and I had been to Rome several times , we wanted to stay where we could walk to just about everything. We definitely made the right choice. During our week's stay, we found nothing to complain about. Our double room was large, had 2 balconies which faced the Borghese gardens and had a large bathroom. Our room... more

I really liked the Hotel Victoria, only around the corner from the top of the spanish steps, yet in a nice and quiet/relaxing part of Rome. The rooms are small but spotless and modern and everything is within easy reach. The open bus tour is a must..it brings you to all the main attractions. The reception staff were extremely helpful... more

I booked this hotel because of the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. My experience did not have any of the positive points discussed. We had mold on our shower curtain, mold on the bathroom tiles, and rickety lamps with non-working bulbs. Our view was of a wall on the building next door (even though I had specifically requested that we not... more

We had a couple of issues with this hotel, and we definitely did not get our money's worth. We stayed here for three nights and paid about $530 for all 3 nights. This hotel is categorized as a 4-star in expedia, but it does not come close! We thought the hotel had been remodeled, that may have been a long... more

I was a little hesitant after reading a couple of the previous reviews. I had NOTHING to worry about. We had a wonderful stay. The location was excellent. We were less than one minute's walk from Via Veneto (a street filled with shops, restaurants, etc.) and about a five minute's walk from the train station. We took the train almost... more
