I stayed here very recently, from the 22nd June 09 to the 26th. It was my 3rd trip to Rome, so I knew the area quite well and picked this hotel mainly because of it's location but also because of the history it lies upon. It is a stones throw from the Campo dei Fiori (a great little market square)... more

We stayed at the Teatro di Pompeo from May 30 to June 1, 2009 after a 14 night Best of Italy Cruise. The hotel is wonderfully located, particularly for the Campo di Fiore, Plaza Navoa, and the old Ghetto. The Pantheon is also an easy walk. There are numerous neighborhood restaurants available close by; despite the central location, we found... more

Very good service and very professionally run. They anticipate your needs and quickly comply. Very clean nice size room and bath. We had a tub! Good hearty breakfast. Close to the ruins. Located in a residential area which let us observe everyday life. Thankfully we had soundproof windows that we could close if it got too noisy. Pretty view from... more

The location of this hotel is awesome, you're within walking distance to many major attractions of ancient Rome and Vatican. Breakfast is good and efficient. Service is perfect and reception/concierges are extremely useful and knowledgeable, ask their advice, you will not regret it. We made it to Vatican because they suggested to go on a day before Great Friday. Also... more

Tiny hotel (10 rooms on site) but centrally located and with great staff assistance. Rooms smallish (by North Ameeican standards). but nicely furnished and comfortable. Staff arranged transport to from airport and was full of suggestions and assistance on where to go, etc. Even looked up restuarnats on internet for us. Lounge area uniquely furnished like grotto (it was an... more

Stayed here the nights of November 2 through 5, 2008, and everything couldn't have been better. The car service I arranged picked us up at the airport and whisked us right to the front door of the hotel, and a good thing too, since I'm not sure I would have found it at first by myself. Even after checking in... more

This is a wonderful location for getting around Rome and seeing all it has to offer. The hotel itself is really nothing spectacular, but you can't beat the location for the price. The staff was very helpful and aided us in all our needs in getting around the city. The room was a little dark and dreary, but definitely clean,... more

This was our last stop on our Italy trip. We were a little surprised that the room was dated compared to the other hotels we stayed in through out our trip. The TV was small and the satellite offered two English stations with BBC sound and picture not matching up. The room was clean and worked out fine once we... more

We had the good fortune to stay at the Hotel Teatro di Pompeo for 5 nights (Sept 27-Oct 2 2008 and were extremely pleased with our choice. I had looked at many hotels in Rome but because of walking difficulties, wanted to be in the best spot for getting to all we wanted to see, and this hotel had a... more

I stayed here with my wife on our honeymoon in September 2008. This part of Rome is my favorite area -- right in the middle of the oldest district. The hotel is itself almost next door to the Campo dei Fiori and is a quick walk to the Piazza Navona or Pantheon. The room is not lavishly decorated, but was... more
