This is not a hotel it is rent-a-room by the hour, if that. We stayed there one night, thankfully. There was hair in the bed, the comforter had all kinds of stains on it, and the shower curtain was old, moldy and looked like it hadn't been replaced in years. The shower walls had black mildew between the tiles, there... more

One night at this dreadful hotel was one night too many, I could have cried on entering the "reception area" let alone the bedroom. This had been booked in good faith by our friend (14 of us on a much awaited trip) who had been guided by the photo's shown on the hotel website along with the list of facilities.... more

The hotel is well placed for the Termini for trains, buses and taxis. A friend booked in our party of 14 for four nights. He paid the first night in advance by credit card. On arrival the rooms were not ready. The rooms were dirty, air conditioning not working and the bathrooms were dirty. Upon arrival staff asked us to... more

Stay away from here. It's disgusting. I took a party of 14 to Rome for a 4 day cultural tour. We paid the first nights fee in advance by credit card, Fair enough, one would expect that. Upon our arrival they demanded cash in full for the remaining three nights, Tgey stated that they would not accept credit card payments.... more

Disgrace!!! Efforts will be made to get this place shut down. It is a health risk, a fire risk and a personal safety risk. Please do not book or even walk into this place, just look in the elevator, it'll convince you not to stay. For 85 euro less you can stay 100 yards away in a 3 or 4... more

Booked for several nights but on arrival rooms not ready and place dirty, air conditioning not working, bathrooms dirty, some beds also dirty and shabby and we were asked to pay the remainder in cash later that day. All rooms and bathrooms where the same and we were charged 100 euros per night. Breakfast the next day was a croissant... more

It was not stated when booking that the hotel was on a second floor. the bathroom was tiny and smelt due to poor ventilation. the bathroom walls had old soap marks on them. the double bed was 2 single mattresses pushed together hence my husband and i had to keep pushing the foams together as they kept separating in the... more

I spent a month traveling throughout Italy and Greece and this was by far the worst part of the entire trip. Between the rude staff, insanely small rooms, dirty bathrooms and the overall depressing atmosphere of this "hotel" I would rather sleep outside the Termini than ever return to it. I strongly advise anyone visiting Rome to stay as far... more

We arrived at Hotel Rubino at 1am, we'd booked a double room with shared bathroom which ended up being in a completely separate building. We arrived to find no electricity and climbed the stairs to the room in complete darkness. This was probably just as well as the room looked awful even in the dark. I'd already been asked to... more

I chose Hotel Rubino for a one-night stopover on my way from Florence to the Rome Airport because it was (relatively) inexpensive and very close to the Termini railway station. Big mistake. When my family of 6 arrived, we were informed that the air conditioning system was broken, and that they were transferring us to Hotel Ploanet around the corner... more
