Booked the hotel after reading glowing reviews on tripadvisor. Contacted the hotel directly and got a good deal - a discount (only for cash payment) with a bottle of wine thrown in, which was nice. Reached the hotel in the early afternoon and it was stuffy. I do not know if this is a problem with their air-conditioning or just... more

Really great little hotel. In quiet street, very central and 10 mins walk from Termini station or 50yds from underground stop. Nice cafes very close that are very reasonably priced plus great icecream bar within 3 mins walk!! Rooms clean and breakfast very fresh and hot. Food constantly refreshed. Staff very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Definitely recommended to all travellers. more

Was here in April with my mother. Everything was very good: place of the hotel (near Termini and Collisseum; actually, from Vatican and Caracala Therms we came back on foot), good breakfast and capuccino, very tasty and fresh buns every morning. Our room was ont the fourth floor (I think number 403), it looked completely renovated, bathroom was like new.... more

We just returned from a month in Europe and I found all of our hotels on TripAdvisor so I thought I would share our experiences. Loved this hotel. Can't believe it is only ranked #103 on TripAdvisor. It has a great location to ancient Rome, rooms are small but clean, staff is excellent, breakfast was great. We were given a... more

After scrambling to find an hotel in the historic area that was reasonably priced for our trip to Rome in early April, we settled upon the Duca D'Alba. Previously we had stayed at the Forum and the Grand Hotel Palatino, so we knew and liked the area- we always liked to visit the Forum each day. Unfortunately, they now charge... more

My husband and I just returned from our first trip to Italy and stayed at the Hotel Duca D'Alba from April 18-20. We used Rome as our launching point for our Italian holiday, and were pleasantly surprised at the value the Duca D'Alba provided in a city with many more expensive alternatives! The room was small but adequate and the... more

This was my second stay at the Duca D;Alba. It is very close to the Cavour Metro, so very convenient to all sights. We paid 190Eur. We took the train from the airport to the Termini station and then the Metro to Cavour which is one stop away. Very close to the Colosseum and Forum. My first stay we had... more

We stayed at this hotel for a short break in Rome in April to celebrate my wifes birthday. It is centrally situated about 400meters from the Colosseum and a short walk to the train station where the tourist buses (hop on hop off) service leaves, we would recommend this on your first day to get your bearings. The hotel is... more

Mrs. Geek and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in early April, and we were very happy. The hotel is located near the Ancient Rome area, including the Colosseum and Roman Forum. It is also steps away from the Cavour metro station, which made traveling to other attractions very easy. A location closer to the center of city... more
