Styed in the Mediterraneo on a surprise trip to Rome. Was delighted with the hotel. Located 2 blocks from the train station (Termini) it was handy when we got off the plane to get the train directly into the city centre. The hotel was lovely with 10 floors, the 10th with a roof terrace/bar which terrific views of the city,... more

We stayed here twice this June, for 2 nights at a time. The rooms vary considerably in size - on our second stay we requested a move, as our room reeked of smoke and the floors were uneven and creaked loudly. They gave us a choice of alternatives, so we saw the variations in size. We ended up with an... more

Mediterraneo is centrally located less than a 1/2 block away from the main train/subway station, which makes it very easy for getting around Rome on the metro. We arrived Sunday morning around 11am and our room was ready for us. The room itself was huge: living room, bedroom, and a huge bathroom. The bed was ok. They have a morning... more

A friend and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in May. The room was spacious, clean, and the staff very helpful for tips on resturaunts etc. The location was convenient to the termi and transportation if wanted, however we walked to all sights with the exception of the Vatican. more

The location of the hotel is great---right next to Termini Station, the subway, and buses. The outside of the hotel looks relatively modern, but inside it's a blast from the past. The elevators are small and slow, and the rooms are, well... old. The green curtains, faded wood floors, and even the artwork seem to have been there for quite... more

Hotel overall is very nice. Probably 3.5 stars on a US scale. Great breakfast buffet. Beautiful lobby. Our triple room was large, with a large bathroom. The fixed shower head was mounted at an appropriate height for dwarfs, though. The room does not seem to be dusted very often. There was a large amount of dust everywhere. Same for vacuuming... more

Great hotel, excellent location, friendly staff, very clean rooms. We would definately stay at this hotel again. However the restaurant in the 10th floor is ordinary and too expensive, and we experienced the internet connection to be almost non-excisting and overpriced. more

Eight of us recently stayed at the Mediterraneo Hotel in Rome for Spring Break. We chose this hotel because of it's location to the Stazione Metro (where all the trains, subways, buses meet) because we were traveling with my elederly parents (in their 80's) and we wanted to limit their walking. Plus this hotel had good reviews. We were extremely... more

Had a good holiday, Hotel is just 3 minutes walk from the termini, which is the main train / bus station. Great when you are carrying luggage. It is easy to get around the whole city from there. Our room was large and very clean , loads of places to eat in the area, which gives you the option to... more

Despite the size of our party, we were allocated five rooms all on the eigth floor, far enough away from what is a very busy main street into the central transport hub that is Terminus rail/metro, coach and bus stations. We arrived as part of a larger group of 30+ and our courier had already made the necessary arrangements for... more
