We booked the hotel at the reservation desk at Rome Fiumicino Airport when we arrived in Rome. I had checked out prices and locations prior to the trip but it was a last-minute deal and we were flying standby so we didn't want to book anything and lose a deposit. We were very pleasantly surprised at our find and the... more

My sister and I stayed at the Hotel Giolli on a recommendation from fellow travellers we met in Ischia. It was perfect for what we wanted and needed during our stay in Rome. The gentlemen at the front desk are all very helpful. Gianni and Antonio were very friendly and competent with all our enquiries. Rooms are nicely decorated, very... more

Hotel Giolli is about 10 mins walk from Termini station and convenient for commuting to and from Ciampino airport. Hotel room was a good size with ensuite bathroom with full size bath, Sat TV, mini bar and was warm and clean. Good buffet breakfast choices. Staff were very friendly and gave good advice on where main sites were. Advised by... more

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Giolli for two nights. The first night we were given a room that stank of cigarette smoke, so much so, that our clothes/hair smelled like smokers the following morning. We complained to the receptionist and were given a new room, which was smaller, but a lot better furnished. The reception staff were nice... more

I travelled with a group of people and chose the hotel for the location and price. It's within walking distance to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Piazza Navona and Coloseum. Reception is on the 1st floor and the lift is tiny, 1 person only with luggage. Rooms were quite big, and I'd recommend them for families as there is... more

Just back from 4 days in Rome, had a lovely trip, but was disappointed by the Hotel. The Reception is on the first floor & you access by a tiny lift. Rooms were compact, boardering on small but acceptable. There was a tiny TV ( about 20 years old) The shower spluttered hot & cold every day( old pipe works... more

My friend and I treated ourselves to a holiday in Rome and we couldnt have found a better hotel than the Giolli!! The location is excellent, right in the heart of town and a few minutes walk from basically anywhere! The rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed. And the staff was amazingly welcoming and always at our... more
