We stayed overnight in this hotel, and found it comfortable enough, and up to good standards of hygiene and service. However, other hotels we have used in Rome would get a higher vote for elegance and comfort (and they cost less too). You can get a bigger room for the same price at more elegant hotels further west. The two... more

6 of us stayed for two nights prior to joining a cruise. The staff were friendly and helpful, The rooms were clean but small with only one of the 3 rooms having a bath. Rooftop bar was nice but the view consisted of rooftop aerials. On balance I think the hotel is overpriced more

A friendly hotel where nothing was too much trouble. Rooms and facilities were extremely clean. The roof terrace made a lovely breakfast location and came into its own in the evening for drinks. Lovely weather gave us the opportunity to enjoy the views across Rome. Recommendations by staff for local restaurants were excellent. more

Wonderful staff. Knowledgable, accomodating, genuinely affable, and with a charming sense of humor. Rooms are clean, spacious, and quiet; a welcome respite after a long day. Our room had the same view as the rooftop to the Vatican. Excellent full-breakfast, either open or glass enclosed with view was what clinched our initial hotel choice and we were not disappointed. A... more

I have just returned from a beautiful stay in Rome, the hotel is ideally situated for a sight seeing vacation with in walking distance of all main attractions 20 minutes from the trevi fountain about 40 minutes from the Colosseum all easily accessible from this hotel, the hotel itself is a classic italian vintage style hotel, the breakfast was a buffet style... more

Rome is a very expensive city and you get what you pay for. I stayed at this hotel with 3 girlfriends for a sightseeing trip (4 days). For the price, the service was fantastic and the roof top terrace was worth its weight in gold. You could take breakfast, lunch or dinner on the roof top or indeed just relax... more

From the inside this is a nice and friendly hotel. It is also quite central without being in the thick of the tourist action or too near the station. The staff are nice--they allowed me a late checkout at 5pm without any fuss--and the hotel itself is clean. But the views are well, small street urban, so you are pretty... more

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in October 2008. The hotel is situated fairly close (short taxi ride) from Termini station which is the main station in Rome. Would have been a trouble free arrival if we hadn't been ripped off by the taxi driver. 40euro for a 5 minute journey. Be careful of this and arrange a... more

I specified this was to be a special Anniversary trip and booked a special room 6 months in advance. Though the room was spacious with a separate sitting area, the decor was tired , with scuffed paintwork . It had no dressing table area to sit at and no bathrobes etc. We have stayed in boutique hotels in Madrid, England... more

Just thought I'd write a short review after noticing that other reviewers find the hotel location to be central to the sights. This is not quite true. My husband and I stayed at the hotel in 2007 and found the hotel staff to be very helpful, the rooftop terrace view amazing and the breakfasts plentiful and delicious. We did however... more
