The only good thing here is the location which is excellent for the station. The hotel stank of cigarettes, the walls were absolutely filthy as were the curtains and furniture. The staff generally were friendly - but service was bizzare and had to be requested at the bar. We didnt go for breakfast it was so dirty. The room was... more

Where to start.....my wife and I were on honeymoon in Amalfi and were flying out of Rome so decided to book our last night in Rome for convenience. We booked online for one night at the Hotel Europa, a sister hotel of Hotel Nizza, and on arrival we were told by the receptionist at Hotel Europa that we were staying... more

We were off to Italy for some leisure time...me and my family that is. My dad booked this hotel after looking at the pictures, which admittedly make it look quite elegant. Upon arriving it was nothing like it looked like. Dreary, grey and just plain gross. My family of five (dad, mom, and two brothers and me) were put in... more

We spend 6 days in Rome. Rome is a great city to see but "hotel" Nizza is terrible! 3 stars?!? Maybe back in 1965.! The hotel is old, dirty and makes great scenery for some dark movie. Only clean thing in rooms are towels, delivered in early morning by local laundry. Floor was never cleaned in 6 days and "blankets"... more

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0iumOIFjlQ If you're looking for a nightmare go to Nizza Hotel. Defiantly, it was the worst holiday I've ever had. The TV set was showing only trash ads; No hot water; Dirty ***** and blood stains on the towels. The reception guy Ralphie, can make you cry, he is brutal, savage who yells on guests. It's a shame on Italy... more

We've just returned from a holiday at the Nizza hotel Rome. The staff of the hotel were hostile, and even tried to attack us physically, after cursing and yelling, not only in Italian, but also in English, by this Indian guy, Ralphie. Our only sin was expressing annoyance about the state of our room, cockroaches all over the place, no... more

The main complaint we had about this hotel was that there was NO air conditioning or fans in the rooms. We were on the 4th floor and it was the end of June. It was SO hot in our room that it was hard to sleep. The room was clean, the staff was fine. Seemed pretty pricey for what we... more

This was, by far, the worst hotel where I stayed. I had lowered my expectations when I read some reviews here, but it was very disappointg anyway. The rooms are terribly old and cheap. The sheets altought seens to be clean, where also very old. The room decoration was inexistent, with faded RED walls and cardboard pictures hanged. Fortunatelly I... more

We were sent here when our room at La Griffe (sister hotel) had "water damage." I have learned that "water damage" means the hotel was over booked. It was awful. Awful. I am still itching from that night and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. La Griffe is lovely. When we finally were able to check in I was... more

Myself and my partner were dreading staying at this hotel after the majorly disappointing reviews and the pictures posted so far. The first impression on entering the hotel was not overly bad, but the place looked very tired and in need of some serious money being thrown at it. I can appreciate that hotels in Italy and Europe do not... more
