We stayed at the Regina Baglioni hotel for our 6 day honeymoon in Rome. Overall, we have been quite satisfied with the room and the hotel in general. The staff was very friendly and almost always smiling. We had booked a grand deluxe room through a website (booking.com) and asked for a room with a view to the streets (and... more

We had a great stay at this great hotel. Room was large & beautiful, on a high floor with a view of the American Embassy and the staff could not have been more charming. We walked in on a whim and after my husband negotiated around 100 Euro off the rate (he speaks Italian and more importantly, is on the... more

We arrived at the Baglioni for the first part of our honeymoon and we had splashed out on this one. What a disappointment. The staff were incredibly rude, most probably used to dealing with business customers and guests who are rude to them. The first room we were offered smelt stale and was a bit dingy. It's ensuite had no... more

This is a very luxurious elegant hotel. However its almost too stuffy. You don't get a warm feeling from the staff and during breakfast which was excellent (except for the bacon) you almost feel you have to whisper. Although they will do anything you ask (from freshly cooked eggs to crisping up the bacon) they are so formal that you... more

I just returned from a fabulous trip to Italy...a week in Venice, a week in Siena for the Palio horserace ( a once-in-a-lifetime MUST) and ended with 2 days in Rome at this hotel, The Regina Baglioni. Within a day I had a list of infractions with the concierge, Lorenzo. He had an "attitude' and never smiled, was not thorough... more

We stayed here the other weekend and had a really lovely time. To be honest I normally go for more modern hotels (like the 'design hotels' group) but I really liked the big drapes and marble floors. I wouldn't have it in my living room, but it was really luxurious & decadent for a weekend away. Having read the reviews... more

From the word go, we knew it wasn't going to be all roses at the Regina Baglioni. What set this hotel apart was no welcome, not even a smile, followed by an aloof receptionist who looked at us upon check-in as if to say "What are you doing here?". He then begrudingly showed us to our room, only to discover... more

First of all, in answer to the previous review, there most definitely was excellent high speed internet in the room. Beyond that: it's not really what I'd call a 5 star hotel. Processed, tasteless orange juice at breakfast, shockingly small room and bathroom, all very clean and nice enough but decorated in a fussy brocade-and-fleur-de-lys style that to me is... more

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I don't mind paying top dollar for a 5 star hotel, but this hotel is a dump with rude staff. 1. old, old rooms with torn worn drapes, carpets and bedding 2. old disgusting bathroom 3. antiquated electrical system 4. NO INTERNET SERVICE - they will tell you they have... more

My husband & I stayed four nights at the Regina. After a long harrowing plane flight, we arrived nine hours late. The staff was wonderful in reccomending a close restaurante with good food. The staff was excellent, helping us with all of our needs. The Spanish steps and trevi fountain are about a 10 minute walk. The metro stop is... more
