Three brothers and 3 friends (all guys) went to Rome for 4 nights. I booked at the Genio Hotel from the "Leonardi Hotels" website, very easy. I selected the Genio for location and price. We checked in early afternoon, dropped the bags in our rooms and hit the roof garden before heading out. Wow! What a view. The Genio continued... more

All I can say is, WOW!!! I should have listened to all the bad reviews about this place. This is not a 4 star hotel. Our room was dirty, smelly, dusty, and noisy. There was mold on the walls and all over the a/c unit. The shower doors wouldn't close all the way and water pours all over the floor.... more

I stayed at the Genio hotel not by choice. The 4 star hotel I had booked did not have a room (by the way never go to hotel Atlante) and they found me a room at what they claimed was a 4 star hotel called Genio. The hotel is very well located next to Pl Navona and 5 min walk... more

We have just returned from a 4 day stay in the Hotel Genio - I was slightly aprehensive having read other reviews however I think these reviewers must have been staying in a different hotel to the one we stayed in. The Hotel is in a fantastic location approx 1 min walk from Piazza Navona and within walking distance of... more

Hate to say it but there really does seem to be a trend with this hotel. We booked on-line for a romantic anniversary break and on arrival the guy on reception cleary wasn't expecting us. After some huffing and puffing we were given the key to room 503 and on entry saw that we had twin beds - not the... more

I stayed several times at the Genio, usually with friends on a fun trips. The location is great, the rooms are ok for the price, always clean. The breakfast room is a bit small, but the food is ok. What I love in this hotel is the staff, very friendly and helpful. more

Had to smile when I read through all the other bad comments of guests who stayed at the Genio cause we share lots of the experiences behind them also. Arriving at 11 at night with my brother and my father, it was not very pleasant to have a rude hotel guy telling us that in both of our booked rooms... more

Good location, decent rooms, but I would never stay at a Leonardi (the owners of the Genio) property again. Here is an email we sent to the management. We went through a scary experience that disrupted our stay, and upset many hotel guests. They never apologized. They never had the decency to respond after numerous attempts to contact them. (I... more

Beware anyone considering booking this hotel!!!. Having booked through the hotel's own web site 2 months in advance we arrived only to find a very brusque front desk clerk telling us that they had overbooked and we should make our way to another hotel in the chain that had a room. When I asked to see the manager I was... more

We were booked at another hotel in this group - the 3* Daniela, which appeared OK but was in a slightly remote location away from Termini station. On our arrival there at 22.30 we were not best pleased to be told that the hotel was full - but they could transfer us to the 4* Genio at no extra charge.... more
