I was advised of this hotel by someone who had been so impressed by it that she phoned to make my reservation, just to make sure I went. Albergo Cesari is situated in the middle of Rome in a gorgeous side street off the main shopping area. It is within walking distance of many historic attractions, e.g. 5 mins from... more

We loved our stay at Albergo Cesari. Staff was very friendly and helpful, with directions, reservations, etc. Room was beautiful with windows overlooking Piazza di Pietra. Triple- paned windows kept the noise out in the evening and at night. The rooftop terrace is gorgeous and we loved the breakfast buffet--always fresh croissants and sweet rolls, ciabatta rolls, bread, salami and... more

Perfect location to view Rome by foot. Staff were amazingly hospitable and friendly and even helped my husband with his rusty Italian. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when we return to Rome. The rooftop bar is spectacular and the breakfast buffet was more than adequate and a fresh change from the usual fry ups. Loved everything about it. more

Booked a superior room for five nights in the second half of May - and was pleasantly surprised when I got there. Frankly, my expectations weren't that great; the location was smack in the centre, and I thought the room was going to be one of those claustrophobic shoe boxes. Wrong! The room, though not cheap at ~130 euros/night, was... more

This hotel is so central you could not be better placed. It is only five mins from Trevi fountain. The restuarants outside the hotel are good value too. The breakfast room is located on the roof which is fantastic. The quality of the breakfast was fantastic, Kellogs cereals in sealed boxes - none of this dip into a bowl! The... more

My husband and I stayed at the Albergo Cesari during our short stay in Rome. We just finished a 10 day cruise and wanted to stay in Rome for a couple of days. We wanted a hotel that was walking distance to most of the famous sites in Rome and we got just that. It was perfect. Great hotel choice... more

Been to Rome before and stayed in Trastevere last time. Wanted a more central location this time and Albergo Cesari definitely fit the bill. Everything was close by and was just far away enough from Via Corso that I heard no noise. The rooftop is modern and very spacious. The view is relaxing and it is a nice place to... more

Nice small hotel, great location only few minutes from Trevi Fountain, some rooms are very noisy though due to its location. Staff friendly . What I did not like and surprised me and my friends was breakfast. No bread at all, staff bringing few slices after having asked many times, great view from the breakfast room though... more

My first thought on being shown our room (two twin beds) was, "Why on Earth did TWO guidebooks recommend this place?" I figured the "superior" rooms must have been a lot better. The room was extremely small and dark. The only place to open a suitcase was on the bed. There was no dresser or drawers, so unpacking wasn't an... more

I loved this hotel. I stayed there for 3 nights, while I was by myself in Rome for work back in October 08. From the moment I arrived at the hotel (bright and early in the morning) my room was ready straight away. I walked into my room, which was just a standard room and it was amazing, nothing I... more
